It's pretty clear, based on the text in the Gospels and Epistles, that Jesus founded a religion.

Really ? Most of what he said was quotations or retelling of stories/parables from the OT or other cultures.

Jesus was intent on gathering followers. He was a cult leader.

He specifically encouraged family men like Peter to abandon wives and businesses to go trekking around Palestine pretending to cast demons out of people with epilepsy and predicting his parousia that never happened.

Probably he was the leader of a small judaistic apocalyptic cult. Maybe was megalomaniac.

Remember, the last eatser he was riding that donkey into Jerusalem, people cheering their Hosanna...and then, something went terribly wrong. He got arrested and executed, and he hadn't bothered informing his deciples about those thing that happened that last easter.

If he planned to give his life for mankind, why the heck didn't he teach about that in his preachings?

    No!

I think he wanted to make "religion" obsolete.

That’s what he did for me.

Read the story again he is riding two donkeys at the same time. Matthew got confused as he didnt know how to read the passage in Zech. Jewish poetry often repeats a line with a slight twist but Mat mis read the text and thought the prophecy said the messiah would come into Jerusalem on TWO donkeys which of course means Jesus was the first circus act aswell.

Because the jesus died for our sins is a lie as fortold by Moses is a lie. Ask them to show scriptures from Moses and they cant. No where does Moses say half of what they claim. He never mentions Jesus, Son of God, perfect man die for our sins and so on, but somehow they manage to create an entire story in their feeble attempt to make sense of the disparity of the OT and the NT. They are two separate incompatible religions, that got squashed together to add legitimacy to the new by hijacking the old.

The two main characters of each half are never named in the opposite, theres no Jehovah in the NT and theres no Jesus in the OT. Of course they will say God in the NT means Jehovah, but that raises more q than it answers. Why didnt Jehovah get named once, or why didnt Jesus get named once in the OT. Whats the big secret ?

No, I think he was guiding us all to personal relationships with Him and His father, WITHOUT any man made constructed hierarchy to worship Them. We seem to have seen the consequences of this error.
