Interesting Findings from the ESA Plank Satellite

The European Space Agency has produced a fascinating map of the universe using the super dooper Plank Satelite.

By stripping out dust emissions and radio frequencies from the Milky Way galaxy and more distant objects to leave just the afterglow of the Big Bang, an image of the microwave radiation (measured over a 15 month period) has been obtained that gives an extremely precise picture of the universe just 380,000 years after the big bang.

What we have learned from this data is the Universe is some 80 million years older than we thought, the universe is made up of slightly more ordinary matter than was previously thought - 4.9% of all matter, up from 4.5% - and that there is less dark energy (which cosmologists don't understand) than previously thought and also it has an axis of evil (it appears the early universe was assymetrical) and a cold spot!!

So we need to go back to the drawing board with regard to inflation theory to account for the asymmetry and cold spot.

This is why I love science, the more we learn, the more we have to learn.

    BTW, god sisn't show herself!

But we do know there was a BEGINNING, a situation before when nothing material exists, including time. Hmmm.....

You're in over your head....Like I said before. You're learning curve is huge. Time will tell.

QC : nothing Material existed INCLUDING time ? why do include TIME in something material?

proposal of prologos: Time always was, because there was nothing in the eternal past, forever.

what started at the material, dimensional energy BIG BANG was

    MOVEMENT through time

    space is expanding through time

we are all always moving through time ever since the big bang.

please explain if and why and how this idea is wrong.and how you can be so absolutely sure.

think of spacetime as a cord of 4 dimension (not unlike the threefold cord of jws after tying the knot)

now think of one of the strands of the cord being longer than the three others, very much longer infinitely longer stretching back from the big bang beginning of the other three strands.

That one strand is time, like a long hanging knot, the space strands slip along the endless time srand.

(in the treefold cord one of the strands is older too after all.)

    Fascinating.

Here is a prototype of the Plank on the surface of Mars

Space and time are not separate; they are a fabric in the universe named Space-Time by Einstein. They came into existence at the Big Bang creation of the universe.

This explains time in more detail.
