"Jehovah's witnesses discussion" was mentioned above as the FB page. Easy to find and easy to see the administrator. I suggest if he is a member of JWN he weigh in and clear things up or offer up his head to be excommunicated, shunned, banished, disassociated, cast out, lynched...

Seriously what are we asking for and what is the point? Lets move on and forward and avoid validating the stigmatization of acting like gang of ferrel cats unable to be herded.

If you don't want to be outed, stay off Facebook.

So, outing is fine on facebook, but not here. Outing is fine for someone to do, but its not fine for the outer to be outed.

    Juan viejo,

The best thing to do is to remove everyone who was force added and allow them to join of their own accord.

A friend of mine was force added and was quickly able to extract himself from the facebook group the next day. He almost had a heart attack when he saw the anti watchtower title. He certainly will not be joining the main aawa group.

Edit. Facebook despite its many failings is a lifeline for many Jehovah's witnesses and xjws who are asking questions because of the social contact it gives them. Aawa needs to respect whatever privacy they are afforded by Facebook and show that they do.

Juan, cedars, jaw facts, bo Jensen, danmera, Richard e Kelly, Barbara Anderson, lady lee please do something to protect the ones who are prolly still unaware that they have been added to an anti watchtower activist group.

I really don't think aawaa can move on from this if there is potential harm waiting to happen to even one unsuspecting individual who has been force added to an anti watchtower group.

Yesterday Juan Viejo2 posted a 1,698-word comment detailing the order of events surrounding the problems that AAWA experienced on Facebook during its launch on April 3rd. The comment included an official statement from AAWA offering its "sincerest apologies" to any who were affected by the incident. The comment also included the following sentence...

If anyone still has a problem, email me at [email protected] and I'll see that it is immediately corrected.

Whilst naming-and-shaming and Saudi-style eye-for-eye justice makes for a lively and entertaining forum debate, it is not the way businesses are run. For reasons that should hopefully be obvious, businesses must act in an ethical and legally responsible manner. Therefore, AAWA will keep its own counsel when it comes to publicly divulging the personal details of those against whom it has grievances, but willingly share information privately with any who were directly and negatively affected by the incident. If this includes you, then by all means contact us using the email address provided yesterday by Juan Viejo2 and we will cooperate fully in helping you get to the bottom of what happened to you. If you then decide to post the information we provide you with publicly on this forum or elsewhere, this is entirely your decision. However, it is not AAWA's approach to go about its business in that way.

Thanks Dagney, I haven't received your email - but if you've sent it to the email address above then Juan should receive it and will get back to you.

Cedars what about the ones who are as yet unaware that they have become members of an anti watchtower group.

Unfortunately, we can only work with what and whom we know about - which is why we asked those with problems to email us. In any case, revealing names publicly neither worsens nor improves their predicament.
