It's true. Most people die within twelve months of celebrating a birthday. QED.

Maybe it was due to second hand fires, I mean 60 candles a burning.

I think also one of the Bible stories about a person being "hung" on his birthday was out of context.

Funny how the Watchtower starts a lot of these bizarre snippets with: "A study (or experiment) in Switzerland revealed..."

No specific source is ever given, just that the study or experiment was conducted in Switzerland. I suppose that "Switzerland" sounds scientific and exotic enough to lend some credence to their completely bogus articles (versus just saying "A study in the US recently revealed .....")

Celibrating Birthday's prolong one's life statistic:

"Birthdays are good for you. Statistics show, those who have the most birthdays live the longest." It's true and supposed to be funny. It's sometimes written as "Birthdays are good for you. The more (birthdays) you have the longer you live."

Are you more likely to die on your birthday?

    By Richard Knight BBC News

Partially extinguished birthday candlesContinue reading the main story A study by Swiss researchers has generated a startling statistic - you are 14% more likely to die on your birthday than on any other day of the year. But why should that be?

As the researchers put it, "birthdays… appear to end up in a lethal way more frequently than expected."
