No, not at all. I am trying to rescue my children that are stuck in. I believe what I am doing is similar to what your father tried to do for you, but you rejected him also for many years.
I wrote to you about this once a few months ago, but you didn't respond. In those years when your father kept coming to you before you were ready, was there anything he could have done to reach you? Or was it simply a matter of waiting for you to be ready?

DBNC: Yes. A Reinstatement Hearing is conducted by a Judicial Committee. Don't get bogged down in the terminology. It's JW/WTBTS obfuscation at it's finest.
The point is this: What does their procrastination regarding a reinstatement request tell you about this religion?

If your ultimate objective is to simply walk away after the meeting then it shouldn't matter that you have to wait a while. The reality is that with any reinstatement committee there are always those in the group that think "not enough time has passed," or "I don't think he has really learned from this, afterall his magazine wasn't even studied the other day," or my personal favorite, "I don't think the congregation is ready for him to return."
In any event, realize that the process needs to be followed. The longer you wait, the more patient you are, the more you show you really want it. I recalll several who disappeared right after reinstatement. Just shows, sometimes the decision is more man than God.

I appealed and after a 3 hour meeting with the original 3 clowns plus 3 others from another cong, surprise surprise -
they upheld the origincal decision that I was refusing to talk to them (!).....Simon

I'm sure those are "reasons" given in many cases.
In my case, it's been many years. I was an elder for several decades. It's been enough time.
My magazines are always thoroughly "studied." I am working on writing a book regarding the development of Critical Thinking Skills. I study the WT's methodically looking for logical fallacies, propaganda and other types of manipulative techniques. It's research. I'm motivated.
Interesting comment about the congregation members. Over the last few months, many of them have started surreptitiously giving me winks and nods. A few have openly started waving and smiling to me. One of the elders even comes up to me at nearly every meeting, shakes my hand and asks me, "How are you?"
I think I've become Franz Kafka ...
