sbf: we know how JWs like to stretch credulity to the very limit before admitting they got something wrong.

When have they ever admitted getting something wrong?

Making an honest admittance to doing something wrong by this religion ,

spoils the desired created illusionary image of god really choosing them over all other religions.

So there's both corruption to cultivate the publics interest as well into sustaining it.

It is still a false prophecy whether you say MAY or WILL - when the people go ahead and die anyway.

Think about it - would it not be truly idiotic for ANY sane person to pick out some newborn baby and say - this individual MAY never die?

Of course it would. Of course all humans are going to die. Simple facts of life.

Changing the verb from WILL to MAY does not save culpability over this idiotic false prophecy.

i would think that the 'millions now living will never die' was a mistake. However I understand that there are quite a few people over 110 years of age in the world and so maybe the generation that saw 1914 hasn't passed away even though the teaching regarding the generation was changed.

The Watchtower have filled many toilet bowls with bullshit over the years.

Ironically the more bullshit they crapped out the more money they made.

    Ucantnome,

"never die" means they will have to meet watchtower criteria, be baptised, in good standing, not irregular. to survive.

do you know any regular Publishers 120 years old?

Isn't this prophecy supposed to fulfill the 7 trumpet blasts in Revelation? They need some new light on that one, makes them look ridiculous, well... then again, new light wouldn't change that!

laika, look at the illustrated Cow above. methane = T--- blasts.

they usually go together and the smell is offensive.

It's reasonable to ask if millions are still alive from 1920 in relation to the prophecy, and not just millions of JW believers, because when the booklet was published the Bible Students still believed in three classes of humans: two classes of believer in heaven, and the mass of mankind who would survive Armageddon and remain on earth into the new system. It was the mass of mankind who would live through Armageddon that Rutherford had in mind when he talked about Millions Now Living who would Never Die.
