Such sickening sentiment.
There are people loosing their homes and belongings, pets, animals, even people's lives.
And all they can care about is their boring days sat listening to repetitions of the drivel from their magazines.
They don't think anyone but them are worthy of sympathy or compassion. Truly heartless unchristian people.

@simon you guys still high and dry? - our friends are down by the Bow river :( they almost got flooded in 05 but escaped by the skin of their teeth waiting to hear

Yes, we're good, thanks.
It sounds like things are expected to be worse than the 05 floods because everything seems to be happening faster so hope your friends are OK.
I read that some of the rivers going through the other towns may have already crested / peaked so maybe things will improve although there was still more rain forcast for the foothills and Canmore area.

The Friday DC program in Calgary has indeed been cancelled with Saturday and Sunday more than likely to also be cancelled due to flooding.
Now, for the first time ever I can say; "This was the best convention ever"!
