Simon, good for you! This site serves a purpose, and it's a shame that some people forgot that the most important part of any of us being here is to offer help and support for those who need it.
Is This Site As Active As It Was In The Past?

If this site isn't as active as it was in the past it could be because that leaving the Organization isn't as big of a deal to the younger generation or those who weren't around in the hard core days as. In the last 10 years the organization is more like "JW Lite" compared to the pre and post 1975 days. Maybe those who leave now aren't as traumatized or as in need of a site like this.

As a newbie I think its very important that you veterans stick around. As new ones wake up they will need your support and guidance. I think every thing must be done to take down the ORG.

Your still here asking questions after ten years, you tell us!
Min, you know almost every other ex-jw or jw-relief site is virtually dead when compared to the metrics of JWN, this site is up and running great! Simon has provided us with annonominity, privacy and a safe place to vent and discuss rational topics. It's the only site I know most of my friends on the Central Coast will visit, I know of ten other exjws here who will not visit any other site, even using "ISP Spoofing Software" and web admin blockware. I still have not joined Facebook, maybe my exposure is too limited but I feel safe this way. Thanks Simon!

mind blown
It seems some are now more tolerant of different ideas then before....if you didn't fit in with the click or a**K***ers you were grilled. My initial intention was to be friendly and easy going.......ha...I just thought the number of 14400 was a number that was an interesting number to the Myans as well......but......
My very first introduction to JWN.....

Lola, things are definitely getting better. I have always enjoyed your posts. I hope we can see you here more often.

never a jw
Simon,
Make Leolaia a partner to encourage her to come back and I promise I will spend more time here.
Also, stay away from Republican versus Democrats, rich versus poor, and the-US-sucks type of discussions and I promise I will make more clicks in your site.

Simple - united we stand, divided we fall.
If we can focus on what we know we can achieve, collectively, as a group, as a 'comm-unity' and consider what is the number one priority,
then consider each individual person, and their 'needs'.
then we do as much as we can to cultivate and protect that environment, to keep unity.
This site is so valuable to people, there are some 'great' people here, who are helping us to break free from the cult, and learn how to deal with all of the trauma that comes with it. It gives us a place to 'get back' into reality, it is a long slow process, it is in itself, therapy, for a lot of us.
there are many, many others who will need the same help. I think we have a moral duty, to help people.
this place, the community, does and is helping people.

Simon ! the new site looks really good ! just one slight typo I noticed, in your highlighted intro. paragraph you have accidently put two "L's" in tolerant.
As to this site now I think it is kind of coasting along, doing well what it does best, i.e providing support for newbies who have begun to feel that their chosen organisation, the WT, is not what it claims to be.
But we rarely get a JW Apologist on here, at least not of any calibre, so we don't get a rip-roaring debate going.
Is this a sign that the WT's warnings about Internet sites is more effective now than in the past ? what a shame if this is so.
The number of new posters who say they have read on here for a long time before posting may mean that before they post they have come to realise that a true defense of WT teaching that stands up for more than the blink of an eye is impossible, they may have been tempted to debate at first, until realising the aforesaid.
I still think this totally unique site is the best on the Net for JW's who wish to recover, for many it has been literally a life-saver, and it has helped them build the best posible life for themselves. No mean feat ! and all done by you excellent posters of JWN !.
Thank you Simon, you are a modern day secular Saint.
