This thread is mapping the new (recent 2013) paradigm of peer-reviews science that's challenging Darwinism

That is simply a blatant lie.

So far you have not referred to a single peer-reviewed paper that challenges the fact of evolution.

    Your pop-pseudo-science book doesn't count.

Please read the thoughts of Donald Prothero on Meyer's book, "Stephen Meyer's Fumbling Bumbling Amateur Cambrian Follies..."

    From Prothero's excellent review..

Stephen Meyer’s first demonstration of these biases was his atrociously incompetent book Signature in the Cell (2009, HarperOne), which was universally lambasted by molecular biologists as an amateurish effort by someone with no firsthand training or research experience in molecular biology. (Meyer’s Ph.D. is in history of science, and his undergrad degree is in geophysics, which give him absolutely no background to talk about molecular evolution). Undaunted by this debacle, Meyer now blunders into another field in which he has no research experience or advanced training: my own profession, paleontology. I can now report that he’s just as incompetent in my field as he was in molecular biology. Almost every page of this book is riddled by errors of fact or interpretation that could only result from someone writing in a subject way over his head, abetted by the creationist tendency to pluck facts out of context and get their meaning completely backwards....

if you are a complete amateur and don’t understand a subject, don’t demonstrate the Dunning-Kruger effect by writing a book about it and proving your ignorance to everyone else! Some people with creationist leanings or little understanding of paleontology might find this long-winded, confusingly written book convincing, but anyone with a decent background in paleontology can easily see through his distortions and deliberate misunderstandings and misinterpretations. Even though Amazon.com persists in listing this book in their “Paleontology” subsection, I’ve seen a number of bookstores already which have it properly placed in their “Religion” section—or even more appropriately, in “Fiction.”

Keep it up, QC. You are making more unbelievers everytime you show up in this thread. I love it. If I was still on the fence, or even interested in this debate as a doubting JW, you would have had me convinced that there is no good argument for ID.

It could be your incompetence or your arrogance... Both show your ignorance.

To any lurkers: do your homework. Silly books like this are the best argument creation has... And yet there is a mountain of evidence to the contrary! There are many well written books available that will give you everything you need to properly understand evolution. Don't let me convince you, let QC And Steven Meyer do that. Personally, creation was the only thing holding me to a belief in Christianity. I felt I owed god something, even though the bible shows he's a dick. Understanding evolution was a major turning point for me, it can be for you too.

    Hi CapO,

This is going to be a fun ride.

    Thanks for coming along.

This is one of those marvelous times to be living.

    Ditto Captain Obvious,

QC is doing the work for the non-theists. And to lurkers and those who continue to believe, pay close attention to this argument as CO states. The primary arrogance is coming from the theist camp, which is typical in these types of discussions. And I will eat my IMac (OK maybe not really) the first time a theist admits they were wrong or shows a little bit of humility on any of these types of subects/topics. Rose, QC, are you listening?

    Guys,

This is an intimation of where science is headed.

This website is unique because if you sort its many fact and fiction posts, you will find trends toward truth and trends toward fraud. This contrast is invaluable for making quick decisions, e.g. we now know that the JW microcosm is operating on fumes (no credibility). This eliminates them as solution to anything.

All sorts of “flashing red light” distortions in reality can be dismissed instantly in the same way.

JW promise for 1975 is a flashing red light; Cambrian absence of common ancestry fossils is a flashing red light.

Freedom from distorted reality is never regrettable.

    Always a good thing!
