HarryMac - It's been over 2 years since they saw me and I've lost 2 stone, grown a goatee and sport an earring. How worldly of me.

On another note. I was in a store with my 2 boys and the old COBE saw us. He went as red as a beetroot and avoided us like the plague. Until they had to rush passed us (he was with his wife by now). My boys saw them and the eldest yelled : 'Look at the f###ing price of this?'

As they disappeared my lad said: 'I love swearing in front of those idiots!'

    LOL!

Nice! Love when children do the swearing for the adults!

I remember sitting at the front row of the KH for the public talk when I was about 17. My little sister - was 2 yrs old and dropped her song book or bible or something. So in a big cute little girl voice.... "...*big sigh*.... AWWW.... FFFUUUCCCKKK!!!"

The speaker stopped... looked down at my family... collected his thoughts and continued. My mom looked over at me from 3 or 4 seats away to my right... omg... if looks could kill... I'd be so dead! Like, serious rage!

    I love that memory!

HarryMac - The was a young child at our hall (the right sort of age to sexually stimulate members of the governing body), and every now and then he shout out: 'shit shit shit shit!'

    Wonderful memory.

Thanks for the laughs! Man, this is enough to almost make me glad for a split second that I was a JW. Almost.

Kid probably had Tourette's. We had a bro in my old cong who got that after a nervous breakdown, and I remember him at the book study start with "sh!t!" and alternate with f-bombs. The poor guy was so embarrassed as his wife ushered him out. I really feel for him. He's landed in the Jabooba Home a few times since then I've heard.

HarryMac - The subject of hilarious stuff going on at the KH is another matter.

Julia - None of those kids go to the meetings(TM) now. They are all glorious 'apostates(TM)'

Some of the folk I saw out door knocking saturday are dull and boring people. I feel sorry for their kids.

Well, in my case it was me reading my mom's mind of "Just where did she learn that?!" Sorry, if that was obvious. I just couldn't help but laugh right in her face while looking at her glaring at me with eye-watering rage!

To this day, mom and I have a sort of love/hate relationship, lol.

    Good times,... good times.

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean to derail your thread.

I feel sorry for the kids too. Total crap that they are having to do that with their free time in their limited youth.

No wonder only 37% of them actually stay. That figure is for America, but I'm sure other English speaking countries have a comparable rate. I reckon the congregations where I live are about 50-50 born-in/converts.

We had a kid at our K Hall who had learning difficulties, he would sigh and say " Aw, this is all so boring ! we've heard it all before !"

He also cottoned on when people were being hypocritical and would ask them questions no one else would dare, doing it with a wonderful air of innocence, bless him !

One wise old Sis observed "That boy is not a silly as he pretends to be".

Punkie, give your oldest a pat on the back from me, love his attitiude, and his nerve !
