HarryMac - My Dad (R.I.P.), came out with some weird theories at times and I used to visibly face palm at the meetings(TM)....but then he was only following the cult leader's way of thinking. He used to drag me oout on a Saturday morning. It was sh!t.

Just before he died he admitted that when he took the family watchtower study(TM) he hated it but didn't know of any other way. Sadly, Dad died faithful to the WBT$. Poor sod.

Julia - I should have walked away earlier but we didn't have the internet and support forums in the '70's.......just fundy leaflets about Jeebus and invisible sky twat god.

Phizzy - What a wonderful kid....and pat on the back will be delivered.

I reckon they recognised you but are human, and thought to say hello. I would say hello to dfd people if I ran across them. After all, we're all human. Most of us.

referring to the pioneer stroll--i thought that too---many years back. we all did it--walked as slowly as we could--and if the householder was not home--it meant a lengthy stand on the doorstep.

did any of us actually like the door to door work--?

Julia - But then you are are thinking person...not a WBT$ robot.

I used to chat to DF'd people even before I was an elder.......I figured it was the christian thing to do and the imperfect men in Brooklyn were just setting the bar too high.

Bigmac - I only liked the feeling of a guilt trip being taken away after the D2D work. Personally I thought it was a titanic waste of time.
