You need to get this matter straightened out so the congregation can be cleaned."

OMG I don't think I will laugh as much for the rest of the day. I apologise to you CAA

So signing that piece of paper will somehow "clean the congregation" Dang elders don't ever actually want to clean anything do they?

Of course they are looking out for their own skin (surprise!!) as if they make an announcement that you are no longer a JW without your signature, then you could come back on them stating that you did not write that letter. With a signature it is sealed water tight for them.

LOL, There is still time for you to loan your family that money they want.

After they finally make the announcement, you should appeal based on the fact that you didn't sign it, then don't come to the appeal hearing.

I cannot help but laugh at the fact your letter threatened legal action should they contact you. No doubt that is why they had a family member contact you. Shouldn't that constitutes acceptance of your letter by their actions?

I would love to hear an update and I hope you are doing well. You have been through a lot this past year and it is bound to cause you a lot of stress with a lot of ups and downs. I know my husband and I have faded successfully for a year now and for the most part we are happy but there are those days where it all hits you and the fact that you lost everyone you though were your friends plus the years wasted in this stupid cult. We are pulling for you and here for you.

    Hi CAA, any news?

In a way it reminds of how they dug up John Wycliffe and burned him.

The Council of Constance declared Wycliffe a heretic on 4 May 1415, and banned his writings. The Council decreed Wycliffe's works should be burned and his remains exhumed. On 6 July 1415, it also declared Hus a heretic, defrocked him, and had him burned at the stake. Hus' followers soon rebelled; while the Hussite Wars lasted between 1419 and 1434, the Hussite movement spread through Middle Europe. In 1428, at Pope Martin V's command, Wycliffe's corpse was exhumed and burned and the ashes cast into the River Swift, which flows through Lutterworth
