So are Republicans now openly terrorists?

The democrats succeeded.
Hmmmmm.....yes and no......
This is why I take charge of my own childrens history lessons.
I hope you leave their spelling and grammar lessons to a competent teacher.

Ok, I can't take it. I must also point out that the Democrats did not secede. Democrat and Republican had nothing to do with it. This was North and South, States. Not a party line, but State lines.
So frankly I hope you leave history to a qualified teacher as well.

You two with your tired liberal clap traps, and silly technical spelling and grammar corrections. It's as if you think that doing this somehow gives you some superior intellect or high ground. It doesn't. Maybe you should focus on putting some actual substance into your arguments instead. Pathetic.

Did anyone see Lincoln? Recall the debates and fighting? The country is not falling apart, this is what democracy is about, free speech . It will get resolved. These meetings have not always been so public. I just know this is not the first or last fight the house has been in.
I agree , a fist fight may be next.
I think the Dem's are the terrorists, seriously refusing to negotiate ? Even Clinton did that.

In reality the Republicans are trying to put Obamacare into a failer mode so that they can eventually say see we told you.
In the mean time they're making Obama and his administration look incompetent.

So factual history and proper spelling are Liberal? Ok.

Surely you see the irony of nonjwspouse touting her homeschooling capabilities and then demonstrating - well - her ignorance of some of the fundamental principles of history and communication?

I'm sure my input is not welcome, but here it is: PLEASE STOP BEING SO NASTY!!
Nonjwspouce made a typo and/or her autocorrect changed her words. I do this all the time. A charitable reader could clearly see what word was meant and would read it accordingly. To question her ability to teach her children going way too far. I agree with tootired2care, it should be about the substance of your argument. We can disagree and discuss, sharpen our thoughts; this level of personal animosity, though, is unwelcome.
Nonjwspouce was noting that one poster mentioned how the Democrats are not talking about secession and yet, the story is different looking back in history to the antebellum years. It was very much a Democrat versus Republican issue. In fact, South Carolina immediately seceded BECAUSE the Republican Lincoln was elected President, as they had declared they would. The country was divided and that was reflected on party lines. It was Democrats arguing for a continued balance of slave states versus free states and the Republicans who stood for "free labour". In fact, it was a "radical" element in the party that was calling for emancipation. There are some interesting parallels between this and the current tea party movement.
It was a valuable addition to the conversation and did not deserve to be ripped apart for a simple error.

Thank you DogGone. I have learned when a person resorts to correcting grammar and spelling in a posting and not addressing the issue, it is a sign they don't have much to defend on thier position. I don't become offended when someone catches a misspell or grammar goof and uses it in a arguement as a "proof" point. I actually welcome it and laugh.
DogGone, factual information such as what you included in your more researched posting, is what those "grammer nazis" don't have a clue about. Thank you for you input.
I realize my inability to see the letters on my computer keys is not an excuse for the lack of proofreading. In the completely written world of forum communications those mistakes can be distracting.
The mispelling and grammer mistakes are, however, a convenient strawman point for those lacking in the ability to debate.
And to the issue, I recognise the boundries were along mostly state lines, but not all. It was not a geographical issue, it was a state's rights issue and that issue was within the political parties.
