Slimboy, anyone ever tell you, you are very sexy? You write like a real man does!

Simon you care about people below the Country line, I love Canada and her people. Simon is it true Canadians don't call their bankers "Pieces of shit", "Turds coming back for another round of flushing", "Money grubbing carpet bagging con-men"?

How come the United States was unable to con our Canadian friends ino buying all their garbage? Canada probably spends more money on their people instead of war and paying top prices for drugs. We have social medicine here called "Medicare" for the disabled and elderly, the V.A. is trying to pass the buck on their wounded soliders here now, doctors are getting paid to tell soldiers they don't have P.T.S.D. after watching their fellow solider get blown into pieces before his very eyes. How could scraping your Sargents flesh off your face and coughing out his blood cause stress? The Republicans are trying to destroy the V.A. Hospitals and deny the soliders their just dues. What the fuck is wrong with these fuckheads?

Can we get the ultra-right to debate Robert Reich, he makes solid arguments for paying people above $9.00 a hour so they are not stuck asking for Food Stamps but that would cause great discomfort to the top 1% who make their money from interesting methods of "Carry Interest" like sexy Mitt Romney did. Mitten's is still pissed off the last Great White Hope was eliminated because his message about the 47% from the heart came into the publics ears!

I must say just this. Since when has IRS involvement in anything not caused problems?

AC: "Canada probably spends more money on their people instead of war and paying top prices for drugs."

Just think what the USA could do for healthcare if they invested financial resources at home helping Americans rather than $2 Trillion on the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

No, No. The IRS is your friend. Just ask them.

"Friend"... as in a Judicial Committee is your friend who only wants what's best for you.

Legally, the United States is a republican democracy. A republican is a form of government without a king. Through elections, enfrancised citizens elect representatives who vote according to their viewpoints in a two house legislative system. We are definitely both a republic and a democracy.

Some school teachers should stop teaching all the crap we learn in high school and start teaching the basics.

The above is spelled out in our Founding document, the United States Constitution. The Const'n was written to set forth general principles, including that we are a democratic republic. The leading commentary on what the provisions mean can be found in the Federalist Papers, authored by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay. Hamilton was a New Yorker who favored a strong, central government. Madison favored a more limited. Their writings explained the const'l provisions to the American public. The Federalist Papers were published through the country in newspapers to garner support for a central government.

The Const'n describes how laws are made. The minority cannot impose them on a majority. Majority rules but the rights and liberties of the minority are protected by express provisions in the Const'n. Some governance issues cannot be adjudicated but the vast majority of cases are decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.

Senate membership is limited to two Senators per state to protect the interests of the states, particularly the small ones. The House is based on US Census figures that determine population. In most states, there are more members of Congress than Senators. Certain powers are exclusive to each chamber.

We are clearly a democratic republic.

I also found it intersting the house members are in session, presenting a delaying for one year proposea, but the senators took a vacation during this crucial time.

I think eaither way this turns out we will learn a great deal, and I predict it will not be pretty for anyone.

The House wants to delay the personal mandate.

I take that to mean thtat people can stll buy health care on the exhanges. Just that the IRS penalties for not doing so don't kick in for a year. I'll go take a look at the House bills. Perhaps I'll find if I am right in my understanding of what it sounds like.
