"the organization's longevity is a testament to Jehovah's blessing. Just another example within a long list of circumstances that God miraculously provided for His people."
Lololololol! The Truth (TM) is really whatever you want it to be.
Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of
Pure imagination
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination
We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation
What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation
LOL Grumblecakes, that's so true.
stand for true worship: 'the organization's longevity is a testament to Jehovah's blessing'
I guess you could say the same thing for the corporations: Pepsi Cola, Coca Cola and, oh oh, the Roman Catholic Church!
I'm noticing a pattern here with this troll. He posts some controversial, hate-slinging comment, then never comments again. He must just like throwing rocks at the hornet's nest and running away.
Growing up i always remember my elder father stepping up to the plate and making up the financial deficit of the congregation. For the most part in the western world the bulk of the donations come fron a few.
In my area congregations are supported by the 65+ jws who open up their wallets a little too generously. Once this generation dies off, things are going to get tougher. The younger generation just doesn't it have it to give.
As to getting contributions from people at the door, it isn't happening. NO one that I know asks for contributions. It's never mentioned at the meetings and it hasn't been encouraged in the last 5-6 years. Even if someone from the territory does contribute , it usually a pittance.
Thanks Julia for bringing this up.
My dad use to make up the monthly shortfall in his congregation and this was a nice middle class congregation.
What's the reward for supporting this Org.. If you are Mormon you get business connections, if you are Seventh Day Adventist you get a nice medical university. What do you get as a JW.
Heartburn.
I can see it now,.."If those that are up in age and are having a hard time making it in this old system of things would consider pledging their life insurance over to the WTBTS now while still of sound mind, and then happen to have an "accident" while taking their prescription medication and alcohol to the point that they passed away from this wicked world, Jah would surely forgive that person and would only wait for the new system for a moment in time. There they will enjoy youthful vigor and all those in the congregations memory of the suicide will be taken away from their minds as if it never happened"
