I'm sorry.... no, I'm NOT sorry that you feel this way. I remember about a year ago when I was getting upset in the change in this board due to the arrival of Kent and you and all your H20 mates, and both you and Kent basically said "too bad, that's the way we are, get over it". I still have the emails from you guys saying that.

So, I will give you the advice you gave me:

GET OVER IT

If you really don't like this board, fine, go and create another. That's what Kent did, didn't he?

I also find this "audience" thing a real joke. So you believe that you have an audience??? hahahahahahahahahaha....... Fine, go onto a community TV or radio station and go preach to your audience. 'Cause you obviously don't think your "message" is going anywhere here.

Your motives are noble. And I'm sure your posts here have helped people to think about their former religion etc.

However, these type of "I can't find my audience" threads are a bit degrading, IMO.

By declaring that this board is not the place for you and your message re the WTS is putting down the readers of this forum.

Personally I find it insulting that you don't think the posters and the lurkers on this board are worthy of your message. And such an attitude then falls back on you, making you appear self-righteous and egotisical.

And I'm quite certain that's not the way you mean to come across, is it?

My suggestion still stands as per my last post. Have a look at yourself, look at the positives in your life, and accept things as they are.

I said it before, I believe. I think it would be wildly hilarious if your essays were put into book form. Your writing style is just what's needed to bring life to dreary and mundane WT writings. You could be the "Dave Barry" of WT lampooning. Plus, maybe make a few bucks. I seriously think your writing is worth money. Maybe you could write for a newspaper in a "humorous religion" column. If there isn't one, you'd be a "pioneer" all over again if you started one!

I just think your writing should be appreciated by more than people on forums and a few web sites.

Fark, I agree with Path, there is an audience, but probably a less vocal and lurking one at this point. I do look for your post as I usually get something from them. And I do see the sincere, and forgive me, soft (lol!) side of what many probably see as abrasive posts.

As far as the many of the other topics on board, if they don't appeal to me, I don't post, simple as that. This is not to make a judgement on those who do, as I realize that all are at different points in xjw-dom. Unfortunately, I'm just not yet at the point yet to post fluff. For one thing, i'm wouldn't be that good at it, as most of my "sense of humor" and play, was for lack of a better term, whacked out of me as a child in a strict jw home. And two, rightly or wrongly, unfortunately at this point I still take this stuff seriously, probably too seriously....but i'm working on it. Seeing the fluff gives me something to aspire to!

But back to the point, I am sure there is an audience for the Farkels and AlanFs,etc. I just hope they look far enough past the post that might be too much for the newbie ( that the jw mentality might feel guilt over & that wt warned them about "those apostates" ) to be able to get to the point many on this board are at. (unfortunately...not me yet)
