Love that mall too :) My inlaws said they had heard plans were in the works to enlarge it in a huge way, but that there was a lot of opposition to that idea? heard anything about this?

I'm an upstate New Yorker. I currently live in Worcester, about midway between Albany and Binghamton. JeffT, that's about 15 miles SE of Cooperstown. In case your wondering, you still can't find a parking space in Cooperstown during the summer. Anyway, I was disfellowshipped from the Saratoga Springs congregation back in '79. I was also associated with the Oneonta congregation. I spent some time sniffing around both the Schuyler Lake and Glens Falls congregations during the mid 70's.

Carousel will be the biggest mall in the US within a few years. Yes the plans have been approved. It will blow that dumb old' PLH's Minnesota Mall of the Americas out of the water, LOL.

I'm going home this summer for a couple weeks....do yall wanna plan an apostofest for the Syracuse/Rochester region?

please please! don't associate me with that vile place called the mall of america ;) hey, we might still be the biggest, they are adding on to that monster! did i tell you how much i hate that that place? lol okay, there is one cool shop there, legoland. i love legos!

ps. did you know during the christmas shopping season, airlines offer deals where you can fly into the mpls/stpaul airport, take a shuttle to the mall, shop all day and fly home that night? just watch out for the gang bangers :P

Great name by the way. Was Saratoga Springs in the Vermont circuit at that time? I was appointed an elder around the mid-70's or so, and we used to have that area in my circuit. Assemblies at the race track there in Saratoga, and Glens Falls also was in the circuit. Email me privately if you'd like.

Seeing how this is an upstate NY post, I'll ask again if there are any here who may have been involved with a big hoopla in the mid-80's in the Ogdensburg Congregation. Elder body removed, 8 folks DFd.
