"emotional pain straight up" your way, heh! I like that phrase. Well, same here but I'm beginning to wonder if the ole meds might protect the health even though they're scary. Guess that's why there's always a big market for alcohol. I wonder what it's like to face pain in a numb condition. I'd try but my luck I'd be sick afterward along with the emotional pain.

CoCo fashioned a tight rope from Rip's very long beard and lassoed it around the smiling moon tho' the long awaited eve never came. The rope reached Nancy and she made a hair-raising descent back towards Earth's atmosphere.

CoCo was so doggone dog-tired that he took several cat naps as Nancy carefully teeter-totterdly totally tip-toed her way back home. Rip kept vigilantly awake, but overindulged on a sweet stardust juice and got punch- drunk and imagined hearing voices of children laughing and doorbells ringing.

Nancy landed her foot gently, inching her way with good thought and with clarity she declared how happy she was to finally be back home, down to Earth.

It's always good to be home even if the landscape looks a little different, but inside , home is where the hearth is, so with mettle, CoCo filled his large kettle and set it upon the fiery coals and in an instant-- cocoa was smelled throughout the house and a warmth was felt throughout the house too. We are so happy to see our friend once again. She really lit- up the room!

Nancy related her woeful tale of the alien experiments that kept her eye solated while they had her scream "Uncle" after they detached her lenscap. She desperately wanted to capture pictures of her abductors but, instead, they made her teach their alien progeny her space craft.

Nancy's pupils were unusually small for their age and her camera's lens so unusually large that everything looked distorted. This was not at all an eye deal situation.She was kept dizzy and off balance until they finally taut poor Nancy and made her lie face down for ten long days of non-stop probing. Nancy was never a good liar. She was a lover of truth!

While we sat at her feet listening, CoCo and I were completely floored by all that Nancy had endured. Her abduction was conducted and orchestrated by aliens, who with laser batons and in syncopated rhythm, tortured her 3/4's of the time for months as Nancy desperately kept notes. Her eye solation was a completely unforseen occurrence. We are so grateful Nancy was able to waltz away from it all.

Your account of what happened made me LOL
i remember the movie marathon man and the nazi dental torture "is it safe?" Anytime one has to undergo medical procedures it feels like your being tortured by aliens or nazi's.

The tired lonely man adrift in a peculiar dream awakes to find himself surrounded by his loving family. He attributes his inability to recognize their faces to some medicinal side effect and accepts their love and comfort but something during the visit sends a chill up his spine. Another man wakes up alone in an unfamiliar room looking for his family and as he gazes out the window he feels his stomach crashing to the floor.

Until that moment when out of the corner of his eye he sees it a smaller second moon just above the horizon. That unsettled feeling wrapped in a crazy absurd thought "toto were not in kansas anymore".

Hi CoCo,
I have just read the whole thread. Goodmorning to you from our nice afternoon here in the UK. What the poet and the charmer you are mister. Poetry is not really my thing. But I did guess when I read the OP, you weren't talking about a new woman in your life.
I am a chemistry person myself, so I do not have anything poetic or romantic to offer. Well done though it was nice to read-Kate xx
