    Tell me something Anthony...

Who is the name of Jesus' Father, who was "my God, and your God"? (You know, the one who's NAME he wished to sanctify)?

If you don't know this name, or you cannot reconcile it without disrupting your current belief system then you will also know why you REALLY need to go somewhere else and quit preaching to folks who've gone FAR beyond where your pious self is in your studies.

NOTE: Ignorance of 3/4 of the Bible's texts does NOT constitute superior Bible knowledge.

    Simon:

You know something though... I don't blame Anthony for asking the questions he has. This does look like a JW site. Many have come in here under the auspices that this is a JW forum. Interesting.

The Lord Gods name is also known as Jehovah:

Ge:22:14: And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.
Ex:6:3: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
Ex:17:15: And Moses built an altar, and called the name of it Jehovah-nissi:
J'g:6:24: Then Gideon built an altar there unto the LORD, and called it Jehovah-shalom: unto this day it is yet in Ophrah of the Abi-ezrites.
Psalms:83:18: That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.
Isa:12:2: Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.
Isa:26:4: Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

    And so on.

I Just Pray to our Lord God, but that doesn't mean I don't think JEHOVAH isn't Gods name. As the scripures above show JEHOVAH is our strength......

It isn't common, though, to addres God in Prayer as "Jehovah" (the Lords prayer starts "Our Father.. and would not sound right like so: our Jehovah..who art in Heaven...)

Hope I've cleared things up there a little ianao.

We as Brothers and sisters, must not quarrel with each other - as S.T paul told us in his letters, but must love one another.

    Thank you

    Anthony,

You say that there are 1.8 billion Christians to spread the word. If you really believe what you say, why is it any concern what JWs believe or the Mormans or anyone else?

Thank you for telling us your religious affiliation. Obviously, this is not a religion that is familiar to us in the US. However, you message is very similiar to the Baptists and the Pentacostals in this country. The scriptures they quote and the personal testimony they give are identical to yours. These people DO NOT believe that there are 1.8 billion Christians. To the contrary, they believe that it is their job to bring these so-called Christians to the true religion, which of course, is their's.

Now, back to my first statement. If all are Christian, what does it matter what they believe, if they "love the Lord?" I would certainly take a blood transfusion, and I would authorize it for a loved one. Howvever, everyone has beliefs they are willing to die for, and if someone wants to die for something for their beliefs that's their perogative.

We here have heard the "one way" message before, in fact, most of us have espoused it. Yours is a different message, but has the same "one way" ideation. I think that if you really believe that we are all Christian, as you say, then I think you should concentrate your message on nonbelievers or non-Christians.

    Anthony,

Your thoughts after reading what I wrote are as follows: Yes, but are they (those of us on this forum) REALLY Christian, are they REALLY saved, are they REALLY born again. For the majority here, these are private matters.

    Anthony,

The church you mentioned, (All Saints) seems to be a Catholic Church from a search I did on the web. Is this correct?

    Anthony,
I believe your quiz quote is from Rev. 22.
    JW's do eat meat.
And although I can't totally agree with some of the reactions to your presence here, I do agree that this isn't the place where you will find converts.
Most people here have made up their minds one way or another in how they have decided to serve God.
You are welcome to your beliefs. Some here are Christian some are not. Some are active JW's, some are not. No matter, what one decides to do with their spiritual life is personal. Whether they decide to use the Bible or not is also personal. Different things work for different people. Ours is not to judge. And personally, I don't think preaching to one's who don't want to hear it is appropriate either.
If you really want to ask questions about JW's I am sure one's here will be willing to answer them.
Beyond that, it is an infringement of one's personal rights.

I totally agree with TW's thoughts. Although I understand your enthusiasm to preach your gospel, you imply that you don't really think those on this board are really Christians, and therefore you have the "will and duty as a Christian" to preach to us.

Your words basically say that "anyone" who loves the Lord and praises the Him are to be included as Christians, your "brothers and sisters". Does this not include JWs then? Don't you think some of them are as sincere as you are?

You also imply that they are not doing the preaching as effectively as God planned. Yet you say that you are doing your "duty" in this. And you are just one man. Don't you think that 6 million JWs also feel they are doing their duty when they go out knocking on doors? It's not easy work, this door-to-door stuff. Yet they do it and feel they are doing God's will and have His blessing.

If you really want to know what JWs believe, give the local JWs a call (their number will be in the phone book) and request that someone comes to visit you to answer some questions you have. Although I'm sure others here may be happy to help, there are also those who have had bad experiences being JWs and may not wish to discuss the topic.

And for your information, I am a Christian and I fully believe in the Holy Father, Jehovah, his Son, Jesus and a separate Holy Spirit. I believe in the ransom sacrifice Jesus gave for our sins and the hope of eternal life as a result.

Since when did Richard Branson buy my country?

    Anthony, you said:

The Lord Gods name is also known as Jehovah

So God has two names eh? I guess Jesus wanted to sanctify his other name right? Why would they have a Father/Son relationship if this were true?

BTW, your "belief" does not fit a 1in3,3in1. According to your "holy trinity" Jehovah is the name of the God that the three person's comprise. As usual with you preacher types, you don't even know what you believe.

    ROTFLMAO!

You smell Greekish... Plato! Where beist thou!

Anthony, you haven't cleared ANYTHING up. You are only stating 45.5% of what most of us here already know, and 50.5% of what you THINK you know. Keep studying your Textus Receptus derived texts. You will be in ignorant bliss.

TW: Please forgive my reactions to another's freedom. He started the pious BS.

We as Brothers and sisters, must not quarrel with each other - as S.T paul told us in his letters, but must love one another.

If you really believe this, then why did you come here in the first place?

    Oh, I know why!

We need to hear and accept your viewpoint so we won't "quarrel" and we can all love each other, right?

    ROTFLMAO!! <---- Again!!!!

When you DO get your hands on a JW Bible Anthony, before you go into shock over the "things they have changed", you MIGHT want to take a look at the preface of the book and where it was TRANSLATED from.

But before any of that, you need to look at what Thinker's Wife and Prisca has said. You are NOT arguing with JWs here, for the most part, and one of the "collective" will be more than willing to answer your questions.

You also REALLY need to stop preaching. Your arguments hold no merit, and your mindset is antiquated.

If I have hurt your feelings, than I apologize, but as I used to say back in grade school, "YOU STARTED IT".

Now please END it and read this forum (as Larc suggested). MOST of your questions are answered in one place or another. Try doing a search on Blood.

It's all a matter of simplicity really. I was Baptised at 24 in the name of our lord, I repented of my sins - confessed them, and accepted Christ as my personal savior. Praise God.

There are so many religions in the world, and I am a believer in God, and that his son died on the cross to save us from our sins - and that one day, he will return as told in the scriptures. I, as a Christian show love for friends and enemy alike (even criminals love each other as told in the Bible). It is my wish to establish friendship with many people from other religions. few other religions I know of, can love "ALL" other people. But has Jesus told us, we Must love one another as we love ourselfs. Brothers and sisters: Love thy neighbour

Scorpion: If you say that "All saints" church is a catholic Church - then you must be right......Anything wrong with that?

    Thank you
