Actually Tammy believes Jesus and the Holy Ghostly Spirit are one and the same. So I don't think Spirit Medium is far off. Tammy I know you dpn't like it because you think Cofty is havnig fun with you. But, it does fit really.

I remember a woman at my church who was always getting a "word from the lord".

He told her to start a mums & toddlers club. She was very convinced. There were lots of compelling signs to back up her calling.

The church spent hundreds on equipment and a fair number of mums joined. It was going well and the lord told her it was good.

A few weeks later the lord told her to get a job and stop doing mums & toddlers.

    The church was pi$$ed off.

I never actually listed 'signs' in my OP. I would not know anything about them, so I have never attempted to 'read signs'.

    Peace,

Bt signs all I mean is everything seemed to work out very well and have the lord's blessing.

    Still waiting......

a spirit medium channels the dead. Christ is alive.

A spirit medium claims to hear messages from somebody who has died physically but who is believed to be alive in spirit.

You claim to get messages from Jesus who died and who you believe to be alive in spirit.

    What's the difference?

I used to hear the lord... I know it was just my conscience or inner voice though.

Right now, if I want I can hear him. He hasn't given up on me yet. He may have big things in store for me...

So what say you? Am I teasing or is he really saying that?

Cofty, whenever someone used to say 'the Lord told me' was there an unwritten rule that you couldn't challenge it. (cos you can't challenge Jesus)? It's like the JWs pretending the Convention was fun, everyone knows it's crazy but nobody dares be unspiritual enough to say it...

Note that I have said (and John ALSO said)... TO test what is shared, to see what was shared is true or not.

No rule ... written or unwritten... of the sort. Just the opposite.

Tammy, this is off topic but one day you should start a thread on your assertion that Jesus is the holy spirit, I'd be interested as to how you came to that biblically.

I don't remember asserting that on this board. (though it is true) I remember saying that Christ is the Spirit... as Paul also clearly says. (the Lord is the Spirit)

Another topic, as you say, though perhaps this one will merge into that one.

    Peace,

I see, so its a bit like a guru who chanel an indian god or someone who chanel an alien?

(I have no idea what an indian guru does, sorry)

But no, not like channeling at all.

Simply hearing the Spirit - who is alive and does speak.

How does one channel an alien?

Channel = d : a means of communication or expression:

Medium = : a particular form or system of communication (such as newspapers, radio, or television, Jesus)

Neither channeling nor mediumship is a slur when discussing what you do. They just do seem to convey what you are describing.

You claim to get messages from Jesus who died and who you believe to be alive in spirit.

    What's the difference?

Christ died... and rose again to life... physically.

If you would like to also pay some heed to the rest of what you were told in regard to the difference...?

But here is a question for you, Cofty... do you think that Peter, Paul, John, etc... were spirit mediums? When you were a believer, that is? Is that what you thought of them?

    Peace,

    tammy
