I'm finding myself becoming increasingly agnostic. I've stopped reading the bible, I haven't prayed in a long time, and I have trouble seeing a reason to do either at this point. I still ponder spiritual things and more than ever am intrigued by those with faith. Perhaps mine died due to lack of activity...

The God of the bible I do not believe in at all, if he exists, he has a lot to answer for. I have the feeling that there is something or someone that is more than what we see in the physical world, but what that is I don't know. I don't have all the answers and I am OK with that. I think anyone who says they have all the answers is either lying or deluded.

I see the logic used by the atheists, and it makes sense to me on one level. But I then wonder why belief in the supernatural is so strongly ingrained in mankind? Athiests explain it as the need to explain things that early humans did not understand, but I feel it is more than that. I guess when it come down to it I like to believe in the possibility of the the divine.

Put me down as a definite maybe.

I am currently on the agnostic to atheist side. The reason I'm keeping the "agnostic" term is I don't like dogmatisms of any kind.

Sadly, the facts, and the odds, against a personal Creator are more than the ones in favor.

99% of the species ever lived on planet Earth have gone extinct. Does this fact hint to a conscious, intelligent Designer? Or a blind process? If it implies a Creator, then he must be "an under-achiever" (in the words of Woody Allen).

As for the 'spiritual' thing: I believe I am spiritual. I enjoy books, I enjoy scientific knowledge, I enjoy nature, I enjoy philosophy, poetry, music, I enjoy thinking.

...I think this is closer to ''spiritual'' than giving tracts advertising a website and revering only one book, which happens to talk mostly about genocide, incest, genitals, burning witches, stoning heretics and other 'spiritual' things...

I no longer find it a question of belief.
God has not made a presence known.
Bad things continue to happen to children as victims of birth defects, disasters, horrible acts.

God is right there with that teapot orbiting the earth (http:en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell%27s_teapot). There is no reason to "believe" in it no matter how impossible it is to "know" that teapot is not there.

Be that as it may, I am a very "spiritual" person. I am concerned for my fellow human. I am wanting to know what our beginning and end as far as life, the universe, and everything was/will be. "Spiritual" is redefined by God-believers, so I tend not to use such words.

I have the same facts and information as everybody else does.

I try to spin the facts in a pro God direction, and a pro bible direction.

But I appreciate the atheist and their opinions.

In my life waying the facts I tip the scales 51% for God

and 49% for the athesits view of life.

At 61 years of age, I think I have a bias and will keep seeing the scales as 51% God 49% no God.

I have read the bible cover to cover 7 times and there are good things in the bible Psalms, proverbs, eccleciastes, parts of the new

testament and there are parts that require faith and humility to accept. There are parts of the bible that many people wont accept.

Every day I battle God or no God, Gods way or my way and what does it all mean.

At the end of the day and the end of my life I will go with God.
