When I speak of those clinging to the other side, they often can tell about objects moving and other manifestations. I in no way wanted to say that the existence of such people proves anything. Had some friends at school who were in no way spiritual, but things got a bit confusing for them when they were playing around with these things. Glass moving "by itself" a.s.o.

I do not counsel anyone to go into this because it is absolutely dangerous. Read about people being harassed bigtime when they started to quit mixing with evil spirits. Terrifying things happen once you want to break away from the influence of the demons who possess you.

Now to the other side. I visited many christian denominations and could tell about real healings firsthand. (deaf boy hearing perfectly after the healing or one woman with a large tumor in her brain that disappeared between two med checks...)

My miracle happened after I was searching God for about 20y plus. Mainly by trying to live by his principles, which I never was able to because my nature would not permit.

Then one evening while going to bed and trying to pray which once again did not work properly because many porn-pics took over in my head. Then something came over me that cleansed these ever persisting thoughts and pics and I was finaly free. After that I began to understand what I was reading in the bible. Things I read 20 times before suddenly got clear to me and I saw that all religion carries lies and deception as its mainly taken over by power hungry men who set up their own system of doctrines to build a fence around their property (disciples). This is also very true for the WT corp.

From that special evening on I was able to live a new and better life.

My experience can hardly be of any help for anyone else, but what could, would be to search for God and have patience. At his time God will reveal himself to you. Never give up!

In believe in the existence of two main gods, who are spiritual fathers of the human race, in scripture.

Our evil step-father, the "god of religion" (Satan the Devil, John 8:44).

Our heavenly father, the "God of Abraham" (Yahweh).

Jesus is our older brother (Heb 2:11).

I have come to know our evil step-father intimately through religion.

I have come to know our heavenly father intimately through his liberating message (the unabridged gospel about Jesus) in which he outlines his "custody battle" with our evil step-father, who does his best to subvert and obfuscate this generous message (2 Cor 4:4).

I identify as SBNR (Spiritual But Not Religious).

I do believe in the Bible, although no longer from and within a (legalistic, moralistic, ethnocentric and Gnostic) religious framework/worldview.

The Bible takes on a very different complexion/nature and has a very different intent when evaluated from and within a gospel/spiritual framework/worldview. This is the essence too of what Ray Franz so well explains in ISoCF.

deaf boy hearing perfectly after the healing or one woman with a large tumor in her brain that disappeared between two med checks... - Patrick

    Dangerous and manipulative nonsense.

Did you learn nothing from years of falling for stupid anecdotal "experiences" that we used to convince each other we had the "truth"?

@patrick - I think it's always risky accepting third-party testimony from people we don't know, especially where it is not possible to at least validate the evidence in some way for ourselves. The most I'd be prepared to do is register it as 'interesting' but I wouldn't find it convincing and certainly wouldn't expect anyone else to.

Also interesting perhaps, such reports of healing occur in most religious traditions and in some non-religious disciplines too so even if they turned out to be true, I don't see how they could be used to endorse a particular belief system.

No Jehovah type God just an uninterested creator, Im almost agnostic really. Bible... a mixed up book of stories, definitely not from any God. Jesus... crap. Satan... crap. Spirit world (probably good and bad) and after life... yes.

I'm kind of like Carl Sagan on this question. It would sure be nice if there was a super being in the sky looking after us and protecting us. It would also be great to know that our deceased loved ones were still out there in the ethos somewhere enjoying some sort of afterlife, but the cold hard evidence indicates that none of this is true and that's where I stand.

This is the most convincing point for me as an Non-theist. What possible reason could there be for a divine being not to allow every human some form of understanding of there actually being a divine being or some form of spirit world. Since he or she even if they did exist does not care enough to give each human a fair chance to experience this "wonderful" feeling, I can only reason that this being is not there and peopletry to convince themselves otherwise to satisfy an inner desire to have the answer

Yadda said it very well, I too do not believe in a personal, intervening God.

i wish though that Tammy could believe what she wants without so much controversy.

I don't believe the Bible is the WORD of God. That basically denies Christ. But, if he came 2000 years ago to settle the Great Issue of sovereignty, and reportedly he did settle the issue, AND he now has been ruling from the Heavens for 100 years and still mankind is suffering unbelievably. Not a good recommendation.

baptized in 1961, out in 2005. What a waste of life. I guess they get the last laugh.

She can. If she agreed to stop insulting us with "my lord told me.....", and trying to recruit others to her voice-hearing cult there would be no problem.
