  Like every single summer vacation that I had as a child was going to a district convention, staying in crappy hotels and eating crappy food. I can't recall a single good memory from all of these summer vacations. The high-light may have been something like stopping to see the worlds largest ball of twine on the way back home.

  Oh but we went to bethel..... and I can't say I have a single good memory from that trip too.

  Dear Jehovah,

  My family and I wanted a nice vacation. The kids have talked about Disneyland for years and we finally scraped together enough money to go after giving most of it to Watchtower. Those $10,000 a day assembly hall rents really set us back, and the constant appeals from WT for "disaster" relief donations, CO/DO health insurance/new car funds, and of course, the Warwick Country Club made a dent in our finances too. It's hard to keep up with WT's incessant money needs on my janitor's pay- you see, I listened to WT and never went to college.

  Please don't kill us now because we had the audacity to go to Disneyland instead of Bethel. Would another donation to WT soothe your wounds, Jehovah?

  PS. Jehovah. Your leader on earth, A Morris lll, said Disney land was ok. What were we to do....after all he is your boss and he said it was ok.

  No one said there would be math today but this couls easily be taken by the JW to mean 2014 is the year of the Big A,.. 1500 in the future - 500- 1000 yer reign = NOW

  True. Just read your Bible. Look at all the babies/young children Jehovah ordered the Israelites to kill, for nothing more than having parents that were not "Jehovah's Witnesses". Animals, too. (btw- Jehovah hates child sacrifice...remember that).

  Oh, and there was no Bethel at that time, so those parents couldn't appease Jehovah by taking the kids there.

  Watchtower's god is so warm and fuzzy...makes me want to spend eternity with Him for sure....

  Does Anthony Morris III actually have a job? Hate to think he's taking his kids to Disney-anything after tapping into the "disaster relief" donation account, or any other. And I'm sure all the near-retirees who've been booted from Branch offices (closure, downsizing, what have you) are warmed at the cockles of their hearts to know that his kid got to meet Goofy (or a reasonable facsimile, aka a guy in a costume) at last! Meanwhile, their next meal is coming from a can of catfood.

  I took my daughter to Disney World for a week (went along with my brother and his entire family , his in-laws included, and ALL non-JWs). It cost approximately $1200-$1500 for a weeks stay for my daughter and I (hotel, access pass into the park itself, airline to and from, etc), even with my brother paying for every evening meal for every person. And that was in 1999. And I wouldn't trade those good times, memories and photographs for all the watchtower and awakes and fake-ass prophecies put to print by "bethel".

  New York Bethel was nothing and still is nothing. Even when I was a full-on, kool-aid drinking believer it meant next to nothing to me.

  Glad I kept some of my wits about me, even when I was feet first "in". Nothing like getting chewed out over the phone by my previous hall's secretary, because I had the audacity to call him to pass on a message from my new congregation regarding my records... and it was immediately after my baptism that I received that ass-chewing. I stood there and blinked for a long time. Not the first time I got verbally slapped around by a "brother", but was the first after taking the dunk.

  What a bunch of hooey manure. So glad to see the real "truth".

  Know of someone who committed a "serious sin", such as fornication? Well, if you don't threaten that one to turn themselves in, and they actually don't do it? Now you're just as culpable as the two ADULTS who committed consensual fornication.

  But --hoo boy!-- pedophiles? Well, that's just some crazy talk there. Even tho the guy confesses to elders about actually straight up being guilty of a CRIME, the elders keep it a secret. A secret. Who are the elders held accountable to for NOT passing along that info to relevant parties (the police, any other potential victims in their respective congs)?

  A secret that damages not only the original victims family, but every family that may come into contact with the perpetrator thereafter. No warnings. Nothing.

  Anthony Morris (and the rest of the "gibbering buddies" [credit: /exJWs on reddit]) should be out washing the feet of the victims of this god-forsaken "church", not pilfering funds to take his own kids on an uber-vacation (i.e. not an el cheapo one, such as touring a printing factory).

  Boy I wish every JW could hear this guy talk. He clearly isnt following any type of outline, he is just giving his own demented views a public platform.. Tight pants really?? And the point about saying goodbye to your kids?? Even if it was true WHAT A CRUEL STATEMENT.

  Of course the majority of JWs would lap up every detail of what he said since they view these nutcases as closer to Jehovah than anyone, but I believe many silently have to start doubting. If this is one of our 8 leaders....what does that really say? The man is truly delusional, Ireally think he buys into it all.

  I like the way he says, "we keep telling you friends" He speaks in the 1st person which is actually accurate and more pointed. It may help JWs to realize that they follow men more than they know.

  Also it was helarious when he said "you chuckle! Well I dont think its funny.. I think its disguuustingg!" What a bitch slap to the audience lol. This guy is a true loose cannon I think along with Splane who also says really crazy cultish things, like how kids who get to age 11 or 12 and have not gotten baptized are in danger.. Arrogant pricks.

  I hope they get arrested and face the full penalty for their crimes. Of course Id rather JWs just wake up! They only have the power that everyday JWs allow them to have. They have none from anyone else.
