Oh jesus, just stab me in the eyes and get it over with. What absolute assholes they produce, all those religions that denigrate women.

Just look at how some of the female JW apologists answered a question of mine about why they can't hand mics and operate the sound at the kingdom hall

I used to help my husband count the congo money and regularly went to the bank with it all by myself! I still type out the WT schedule for one of the brothers who can't use a computer well. Girls can do math, be trusted not to use congregation funds to buy shoes instead of taking them to the bank, and can also type even though they've been inactive non-attenders for a long time.
Girls are also great at scanning confidential elders textbooks and leaking them onto the internet before their official release, along with the BOE letter saying girls can't touch, look at or be within 50 paces of the elders book. (Slight exaggeration. How is YKnot nowadays, I wonder?)

When I was in my early 20s and an MS I was assigned to a group with one other male, the elder who took the group but used to suffer from back problems so often missed, this meant I had to take it usually with a group of women in their 50s and 60s and had far more experience than me in the ministry.
The elders wife had been a Witness 60 years and even served as a missionary in Northern Ireland during the war at risk to her life, and I had to lead her on the ministry! I found it completely embarrassing.

When I was a kid there weren't enough males in the Cong, so lots of assignments were handled by "sisters", including the Accounts, and Literature.
GEEZ! I'm old!

I used to be an auditor and systems analyst in finance, about 70% percent of the people I worked with were women, even management. Women just seemed to gravitate towards this very detailed work. Just to audit the taxes on one phone bill was crazy, every call on the bill could be taxed differently, plus every other kind of charge, with any number of federal, state, county and city taxes on each of those items, with various rounding and truncation methods, at the end the feds got 3% tax on every thing, including some taxes (a tax on a tax). A mistake could cost the company fifty thousand dollars or more, some billing errors went into the millions.
So then I would go sit at the Kingdom Hall, where I wouldn't be allowed to handle the microphone, much less the accounts. It was sort of a disconnect, cognitive dissonance was kicking in. In one world I was competent, in another I was "the weaker vessel", I wasn't good for anything other than knocking on doors.

Women who are satisfied in the org are the are Stepfordesque models of submission. They say things just like that link Hortensia posted, which reads like a women's magazine from the 1930s.
They feel, or at least actually believe they feel, satisfied to not take the lead.
Of course, everyone does not have to be a leader. We need to work as a team. But the jw Stepford wives are not equal members of the team. They're like little girls, in a sense. I've seen a number of jw marriages that seem more like father-daughter relationships.
Makes me sick to my stomach.

The Bible itself is disrespectful to women I think. I'd hate to have lived in the days of ancient Hebrew women, and to think I went from door-to-door trying to make converts to live in the "New Order". Looking at the Bible with a critical eye, and to know it will be the law book for such mentioned new order that they espouse, I'd hate to live under it also. I'm so glad I'm free from that mentality.
