Under the guise of a religion , They have the power that YOU allow them

to turn your ass every which way but loose

    .

    .

    Point blank

    .

Only a person in thier RIGHT mind . Cuts loose

and nolonger wants to be recognized as a Jehovah' Witness

and refuse to give them power over thier lives

@Londo when you mean fade, do you mean gradually stop going to the meetings etc?

@KateWild you mentioned that all my family and friends will shun me. I have a question, a sister in hall stopped going meetings over a year ago. She still lives in the local area but still, she still hangs out with the bros and sis sometimes. Why is that? One thing I don't really like about the truth is how the laws are different depending on the person you are. So I agree with you. Shunning is wrong. If I was a parent and I had to do that to my kid, I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

Is it possible in your situation to just stop associating with the JW's ? Fading works well for some ,but only if you can stay under the Elders radar .

If this is not the case for you then dissassociating is the next best thing . DF or DA the annonouncement is the same -that you are no longer one of Jehovah's Witnesses . Just remember you do not owe them any explaination that you personally do not want to reveal . Just because they ask a million questions does not mean you must answer them .

The only power they have is what you give them .

It is not an easy thing to leave the control of this religion ,but IT IS possible ,and over time you will see freedom is well worth the effort.

Good luck with whatever route you decide .

That sister in your hall is probably inactive. She's not DFed if the others see her and hang out with her.

If she is the daughter of an elder she probably has better protection from being DFed than any rank and file JW.

It's because they like her and want all the gossip, they are all hypocrites. I was DF'd unjustly, I was repentant and my 20 yr old dauhter did not want to shun me so she left. Some of her mate still hang out with her some shun her because she has stopped going.

Something terrible is happening to you and we can help you get through it. are you getting DF'd this week?

Thanks, Kate, but this is Miz, too.

We Black folk know each other.

    Right, FL_Panthers?

I know some people thought that you were that person Miz.

Sometimes we are a bit eager to shout "troll" to certain posters here. It's fine that you still want to pose questions here.

Yes, fading is beeng less and less active in the congregation. During the time, try to get to learn to know some new people, get some new interst and someting to do at meeting evenings.

Hmm, Sylvia..I,m white and scandinavian......but it's not because of my skin color I chose to give honest answers to the Panther.

It's all right if you consider me being naive.
