I think it's interesting that you think that much of yourself that you expect people would agree with you simply because you prove your case. Actually, I find it laughable.
Don't Expect This Site To Change Anybody's Religious Opinion

Minimus is right. We should never "expect" our views to change someone else's view. It's not our right to say our view is superior to someone else's view and that they should hold our view. We can only share our experiences and knowledge.
However, it is a wonderful thing when we are able help someone out of a cult because they responded to our views and the views of our friends on here. For me, JWFacts is what changed my mind. This board helped me to cope with those changes.

Really?
JW's hold the views that humans are only 6000 years old and that a child should die rather than be given a blood transfusion.
These views are factaully and morally inferior to most people's views on these two examples.
Don't be afraid to stand on facts and refuse to respect error.

Minimus I think I understand your point about 'expecting,' being the almost Buddhist that I am. But Cofty and Snare have excellent points; if they have a history of helping others to change their minds, and they have, they can rightfully expect that to continue. You are holding on too tightly to your point of view. I came on this site an atheist but have learned a lot from Cofty, Snare and others. But I also know quite well why I post, which should be an OP on its own.
I post to get others to learn to think. My two favorite roles in life are father and professor/mentor, and I have had a lot of success in both. My greatest success in each of those is getting my children and students and those I mentor to learn how to analyze and think, seeking both (all) sides of an issue before forming opiniions, removing emotion as much as possible from a decision and seeking out the best and latest data that was obtained at the highest level (scientified method).
If the ex-JWs on this site would simply learn how to think and when to make decisions and form opinions (dear god NOT at feeling, believing, thinking and one sided shallow based 'knowledge") they would be healthier and more successful. And most likely atheists. Many come on this forum to keep up the JW-ight crap, I mean nonsense, I mean KH stuff, by discussing theist/JW stuff YEARS after thier exit from the Borg. Or they come on to preach or get filled up by sharing their knowledge of all things theist/bible/jesus because that's the only thing they can find personal satisfaction in. I find that sad. And nauseating. If I can help even ONE of those learn to break free from that trap I will be happy.

You too still have the mindset of a Jehovah's Witness
Unless someone thinks as you do, and agrees
they are sad and nauseating

We can't force folks to except them
Do you mean "accept them"?
If so, that is different from the topic title. Of course we can't force people to accept anything. But on the other hand, well reasoned arguments do cause people to change their beliefs.
