That is how you think about it. jws may not be perfect. but they teach plenty of truth. I do not see how you can deny it.

is it really a cult? let uz assume a worst case scenario. let say that jws are wrong in a number of areas. does that mean they cult? I hate the word cult. it is a social fictive construct like the sociological dysfunctional families fiction.

I am extending an invitation for you to come to my home for crumpets and tea and some uplifting conversation. Or if that does not tickle your fancy, we could throw back a couple of beers, smoke a calumet full of skunk weed (sounds worse then it tastes), play with some tarot cards, make fun of my neighbors and when we are good and hammered we could go door to door leaving burning bags of sh** that people will have to stomp out. Oh yeah, ask Mystikook if thats o.k with him. If so, ask him to come too. Looking forward to your visit.

Hey, if God really destroyed the world in a flood 4000 years ago, not only did he hide the evidence, he also covered it up with abundant evidence to the contrary.

That's right, archaeology, genetics, physics, etc... continue to discover new evidence that contradicts your "truth".

It's easy to sit here and defend "the truth". But can you support any one of the doctrines you claim to believe?

For example:

Do you really believe that every one who is not a JW will be destroyed soon?

And why are you so sure? Is it because that is what would make you feel better?

You even project your feelings about being one of Jehovah's Unloving Witnesses onto people who no longer hold such illusions. Why do you suppose people who have left will continue to feel as do you, enslaved in your small little mind cell?

I'd love to read may bible to check on the 'goads' thing but once last summer I ran out of an important household staple and I had to use my bible instead (the nwt ain't exactly Charmin . . . but it works in a pinch!).

Anyone who use God's bible for s'wiping purposes will not get my bible. use the internet bible. you can find the goads passage in Acts 26:14 on net.
