Exodus 9 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the Lord , the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, so that they may worship me.” 2 If you refuse to let them go and continue to hold them back, 3 the hand of the Lord will bring a terrible plague on your livestock in the field—on your horses, donkeys and camels and on your cattle, sheep and goats. 4 But the Lord will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and that of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.’ ”

5 The Lord set a time and said, “Tomorrow the Lord will do this in the land.” 6 And the next day the Lord did it: All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died. 7 Pharaoh investigated and found that not even one of the animals of the Israelites had died. Yet his heart was unyielding and he would not let the people go.

Notice all of the Egyptian cattle have been killed

Exodus 12:29 At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

See where this is going? If YHWH had just killed all the cattle in a previous plauge, how were there any firstborns of the cattle left to kill? Impossible if this is a true account but possible if it is an oversight of a bad storyteller centuries later. Any WT explanation for this?

    "Wait on Jehovah."

Again this will be explained by bible thumpers like this... "Well well welll well maybe the Egyptians saw the Israelites cattle was still alive so they took it for themselves and then GOD killed those too... yeah yeah that is it

Well spotted BU2B. I like that one it's a classic. WT will probably explain it by saying the bible is not chronological and that scripture is refering to the previous plague. They have used this reasoning in Genesis where things don't quite add up.

Obviously WT reasoning is nonesense. I like this find, thank you.

The plague accounts are so full of holes and discrepancies that even the WTBTS wisely steers clear - notably there isn't a specific section in the Insight Book.

The Athiests Book of Bible stories ( produced by Runningman - a member of JWN ) is a good read if you are looking for discrepancies like this. I found it a fascinating read. )

Does it make sense to kill all the firstborn children and adults in the kingdom when they had nothing to do with Pharoah's decision? Is that loving?

If god is all powerful and all knowing, then he couldn't he just influence Pharoah to make him release them? Couldn't he say to himself, well knowing the future, if I call all of Egypt's firstborn, they will let my people go. So instead of killing innocent's I'll just strike Pharoah and all his house dead.

A loving god wouldn't kill babies, toddlers, kids, teens, and adults who couldn't do anything about the situation. As for an apologist saying all they had to do was put blood on their doorways, how would they know? There was no preaching work. Average Egyptians in huts wouldn't have a clue.

"GOD", could have just gave Pharoah a vision of the future if he disobeyed. Why not just trick his mind like the Sodomites minds were tricked? It would seem real, and Pharoah could have wondered through the dream-world for what seemed like ages and could have learned his lesson. Then innocent humans and animals don't need to be killed.

Why not just mentally blind the entire nation of Egypt? The Israelites could have just walked out! YHWH sure likes to kill people to get his points across...

    Nice catch BU2B
