Just noticed something else that proves the Bible is made up.

I noticed that 30 years ago the first time I read the bible cover to cover.

You have to make a lot of concessions and suspend your belief to have faith in the bible.

It is kind of like watching tv or a movie. You know it cant be so but some how you get into it and find it entertaining.

It is kind of like a cock roach and a roach motel. Some people know how to get into it.

But they cant get out of it.

    NIIIICE! I like that.

    Hi,

I'm kind of a newbie....don't really think like a witness....because I have an open mind...but follow me...Look! Jehovah’s hand+ will come against your livestock in the field....see it says IN THE FIELD...so if there were livestock in the barns or wherever else...they were spared....Now don't get me wrong I was on board when I read this topic, but then I thought again on how witnesses think, remember they have an answer for every little thing. So most likely there were some livestock untouched....but like me...put it in google...they answer everything...just like the witnesses...but still a good point...

BU2B - "...Whats the lesson there anyways? If a kid mocks someone should we feed them to the lions at your local zoo?... To follow his example, the next time your kid disrespects anyone, you should feed them to pitbulls which havent eaten in a week!"

My dad wasn't an overly strict man, but when I resisted his discipline as a kid, he'd pull out the "Isrealite parents had to stone their disrespectful sons to death" card.

It always irritated the hell out of me, to the point where - at around 14 or 15 - I finally called him on it...

...I picked up a good sized rock, slapped it into his hand, stepped back and spread my arms wide, and said, "you like that scripture so much, you might as well apply it and get it over with" (paraphrasing, but that's the gist).

Needless to say, nothing happened, and he never quoted that Bible passage again.

A bit of a turning point in our relationship, in retrospect.

This is just how joke-hova and its draconians need to force obedience on us. Slaughter innocent people simply for not obeying rules that work against nature, and record the details for posterity and threaten that, if mankind ever tries having fulfillment again, something similar will happen again. This uses fear to get everyone to obey, putting psychic energy into the coming of the messiah to usher us into full communism. It also prevents anyone from looking beyond the "God is good and Satan is bad" smut under threat of damnation from that monster joke-hova.

One point of interest: Did Satan ever need to threaten people in order to get obedience? Or kill innocent people for not becoming Satanists and then record such slaughter for posterity? Made up or not (and I believe the whole LIE-ble was written simply to extort people and is not true history), this shows me that Satan is the better ruler and joke-hova will simply not allow Him a chance.

The way it is explained in WT 2006-1-15 WT

When Pharaoh was told to let God’s people go, he sneered: “Who is Jehovah, so that I should obey his voice to send Israel away? I do not know Jehovah at all and, what is more, I am not going to send Israel away.” (Exodus 5:2) As a result, Egypt experienced these blows: (1) water changed to blood, (2) frogs, (3) gnats, (4) gadflies, (5) pestilence upon livestock, (6) boils upon man and beast, (7) hail, (8) locusts, (9) darkness, and (10) the death of Egypt’s firstborn, including Pharaoh’s son. Finally, Pharaoh let the Hebrews go. He even urged them to leave!—Exodus 12:31, 32 The diff is a Pestilence in Plague 5, and Death in Plague 10. They failed in elaborating the animals being affected in the 10th plague in the article.

Why do Atheists care about religious questions ?

And even curiouser why do they post and evangelize Atheism with

such a vengence on religous forums ? Reality ? Your reality is dependent

on how many brain cells you have, how good your senses are and what

formal education you have achieved and your personal experiences over time.

As humans we can't even see certain spectrums of color.

What is the point of pretending you have absolute knowledge ?

Seeing beauty in the universe, in the sea, in plants. or in animals,

or in people is often dependent on your capacity and state of mind.

Like those dumb beasts at the memorial, we are passing around symbols here.

Evidently, the egyptians stole some of the cattle from the Jews in between plagues. Your "catch' evidently shows that you are spritually weak.

    Village girl,

We are having fun. What's wrong with that. Have some self deprecating humor. We all look stupid at some point or another. Religion have more than fair share though. Science rarely looks stupid because it never claims to have any absolute truth. Religious people do. In fact, the Bible looks quite stupid when you think of it as infallible or the word of God, but it is a great book to study as a piece of history.
