Frankie I got a distinction in A level physics (not much but someting) and my friend is an astro-physicist at Edinburgh university....... what you said.... wasn't true based on what we know possible now.

If you have evidence of it being true, just as all other facts/truth/science you are required to provide it.

Otherwise it is just an idea you are putting forward.....which is fine.....but expect to be questioned and asked for evidence.

I know it seems like many science favourable people here are anal on wanting proof and evidence on every small thing.... but that is because we know what happened when we decided to just let things go, without the evidence and just accept them or assume it could be true/might be true.... you end up a JW for 25 years.

Let's all just stick to the most honest stance we can make. What er have evidence for and nothing more. Conjecture is fine, but that is all it is...

By the way I purposefully never said SCIENCE is the only mechanism of persuasion, I specifically said..... evidence is required. Though I only trust the scientific method, for a means to analyse truth, i appreciate some do not, some do not even know about it. Still the minimum required beyond opinion is evidence. IF the opinion comes from someone unqualified in what they speak.... well you can imagine how much weight most would have in it and just how much evidence would be required.

There is no disrespect intended....I am sure you would agree......Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence....

I agree with everything you say about proof and all but this is a discussion group and I posted the video not because I agree 100% with the god dam thing I just found it interesting. And then a bunch dip shits start with their woo woo slinging in ignorance thinking they could critque it as if they had some degree in physics and that's when I took off the gloves and let them knowitall wannabees have it. To me their phonieness and proper decorumness with the superiority complex that was showing itself cause me to try and knock some type of sense into their heads and see what is really going on with their nay saying.

Because google doesn't work like that..... it found all the articles with sharks and evolved and more in them.

Did you bother to look at or read the results? "Sharks are more evolved than we thought"... i.e. the changes in nature were more influential than expected

I highly recommend you start with "Why Does E = MC^2" by Brian Cox. He does a great job of breaking it down simply and when I read it, it's all in his sexy, sexy, sexy voice. But that probably won't help you, though.

I am not as up to speed on the life sciences as Snare and Cofty and love their posts. I've started several books on their recommendations.
