Tell Elder's at the Kingdom Hall you met your JW friends at the Y.... Young Mens Christian Association or YWCA... Young Women Christian Association.

Jehovah's Witnesses are not allowed to go there. Can't swim there. Can't work out there. Can't have a job there.

It is kind of like if you met these people at Bingo, or at a Casino, or the Horse Races, or at a Strip Club or you were all smoking cigarettes hanging out together, or wife-swapping, or at your children's Christmas play at school, or at anyone's Birthday party, or at a Halloween party, or Valentine's party, or at an Office Xmas party, or were neighbor's sharing a box of Fireworks for your children's enjoyment on the 4th of July. ALL of these are forbidden and considered disfellowshipping offenses.

JW literature says these are ALL not allowed.

Do you think going to the "Y" is sinful??? It is viewed that way. In Watch Tower language by going there you are "touching" the unclean thing. Bad, very bad, worldly association. Also known as "interfaith". Being around "worldly" people aka normal people are bad, in JW.org's narrow view.

If the people who study with you ever went to the "Y" once, in any regular congregation, worldwide, they would be viewed as bad association, if not outright disfellowshipped . . The area or congregation that you are now associating with could be a renegade one where many underhanded things, might be taking place.

This is not good for you jnj . These people are not who you think they are.

The bad part is that most peopel do not find all this out until after baptism... then they lose family and friends.

Just like my best friend... his wife got Df'ed and he said it nearly killed him they could not pray togehter or study together anymore because of the RULES... this religion is such a joke

jnj, always remember that the most important thing is your personal relationship with Jehovah. Whatever draws you closer to Him, that is what you should do.

The Watchtower wouldn`t have a name for their God or Religion,without the Catholics..

I strongly urge you to get of copy of 'Crisis of Conscience' by Ray Franz. Read about the what the Watchtower did to the brothers in Malawi and pay particular attention to how the oposite stance was taken with the brothers in Mexico. If you read that you will be appalled at how much bloodshed was caused by Watchtower doctrine. Not to mention the manslaughter that happens at the hand of the Jehovah's Witness teachings with reference to there no blood policy.

Jehovah's Witnesses have destroyed my family. My Mother, Father and Sister are Jehovah's Witnesses. I am not. My sister will not have anything to do with my mother, because she associates with me. Are you willing to put your family through that?

To be quite honest, the thought of you looking into this organization scares me to death. PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU TO DO RESEARCH . If Jehovah's Witnesses have the truth, then you researching other literature should only help to prove them right.

Ahhh - that right there is why your friend is allowed to go to the Y. Her daddy is one of the big cheeses and ahe can get away with anything. There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that a single mom with no status in the Borg could get away with that.

I am by NO means a "troll" I am anwsering questions and telling my expierence. If you do not like that then i am very sorry.

And as far as her "getting" away with it because her father is an elder. Not true either. She left the church, and came back. And I have seen many many people from our congretion at the Y working out.
