I can appreciate your wanting to come here and defend the JW's. When I was on the inside looking out, I often thought "why do people say we're a cult?" I was mystified by all the criticism.

People who are involved in a cult are never aware of it. The following is taken from the book Captive Hearts, Captive Minds

The nature of the psychological manipulation and abuse in the cult is usually not apparent to people who are still influenced by the leadership's justifications and rationalizations.

For any active JW who still believes the WT Society's central doctrine, the Faithful and Wise Servant doctrine, the above applies. I beseech you to read a book such as the one I quote from above. It doesn't mention JW's one time, but I think that any JW who read it would be hard pressed not to see how cultish the organization is.

A lot of us here feel like Tina Turner did after she left Ike - like a truck had run over her. Yeah, we're bitter. Did Tina have any idea what she was getting into when she became involved with him? Doubtful. I had no idea what I was getting into when I took the plunge.

What congregation were you in, sweetie? You shoulda been in mine. Most members afre peaceable there and very few of us tote guns.

My post was not a general accusation. I used the word "sometimes" to qualify my statements.

Your "sometimes" does not qualify your statement. If you had said SOME Peeps...then you have an argument.

I think you need help, friend. And I mean that sincerely. Witneses are peaceable freedom who just want the freedom to practice their religion the way that the Bible directs. We try to be peaceable with everyone, as far as it depends on us.

Where is it implied or direct in my statement; of any method or use of physical violence? If that's what you percieve it to be, then you've percieved wrong.

And look you little "I think I'm a JW-gangsta", guns don't scare me. I wouldn't "attack" anyone unless they've provoked me or someone (unable to defend themselves) with violence.

Your claim to your great intellect needs a check. That claim concludes you got nothing more then shit between your ears with your response to my post.

When I was a witness (and dont forget we all once had that same freedom you have non-h) we werent even allowed to carry toy guns. People in my country are not able to carry hand guns for any reason as it is against the law. I am actually quite amazed that the witnesses carry guns and as you say would use them. I wonder what your argument is now.

I said that I know some witnesses who carry guns for protection. They think it is a conscience matter since the law in some countries permits one to have a gun. I do not like guns; non does not own a gun. slo there is nothing for me to argue. Take it up with those who think that it is ok to carry guns. I am not a mster over their faith..

I just mentioned it to show why people need not think that can attack jws and expect to come out unscathed.

iF YOU READ THE MATERIAL AT ALL YOU KNOW THAT THE WITNESSES ARE THE ONES WHO ATTACK OTHERS. IF NOT THEN WHY IS EVERYONE NOT A WITNESS CONSIDERED WORDLY????
