If the person loved me they would never ask me or expect me to convert.
Would you convert to a religion for love?

Back in the 70's at one of the meetings, an elder raised his hand and related his experience of how he came into the 'truth". I'll try to keep this as short as possible, he basically told of how when he was young he started a new job and there was this good looking gal there that caught his eye. His male coworkers laughed and said "Good luck, you'll need it". That young good looking gal was a Jehovahs Witness who turned her nose up at all who had asked her out, she would only date JW's. So he struck up a conversation with her and said he was interested in learning more about JW's. Well, she set him up with some 'brothers" who studied with him and in a short amount of time, guess what! He became a JW! Then the girl went out with him, they eventually got married and lived happily ever after.
Of course, every one in the Hall clapped and thought to themselves, "My, isn't that a lovely story". And I suppose it was a lovely story, but I couldn't help thinking to myself, he basically just said that he became a JW in order to "get the girl". And, you know what, it happens all the time! Not just in JW circles, but in all religions and social events.
If this girl had been a Mormon then he would have been relating his story in a Mormon Church.

I wouldn't. We ended up divorcing. I can't say the religous disagreements were the only reason, or the main reason, but it certainly was one of our "irreconcilable differences."
Love means appreciating somebody for who they are, not for the person you hope to convert him/her into.

If they never expected me to convert, maybe.
I met a knockout Jewish girl the night I went to a gay bar. She was beautiful and sweet And she called me Dr. McSteamy. She put her head on my shoulder as we talked. I knew I had to get out of there before a game of "Who hid the kishke??" broke out. I still think about her, it's pathetic....

Nope.

I should have said," really convert". Anyway, probably not. The only exception would be a hot Luciferian girl.
