Ok it seems most wouldn,t convert to a religion for love.

So lets start page two with a different question.

Would you marry for money, and social status, with out love?

Nope, I wouldn't prostitute myself for anything. I had thought of converting to Judaism at one point, but the rel'ship fell through. But hey, a nice Jewish boy, a shiksa should BE so lucky! :D

    intetesting point talesin.

Christian to Jewisam or buddist, seems much more radical than something within the Christian denominations.

Maybe my use of the word convert, implies to become something you are not.

I find it difficult to answer.

I felt secure in my belief as a witness and finished with a girlfriend because I was a witness and now I'm not a witness I think there are similarities between all the Abrahamic religions which I think make up 54% of the worlds population.

I have a friend and she is an atheist and married a christian.

    probably not today.

It's amazing how many Christian men marry Asian Muslims, from dating sites.

My grandfather gave up Catholicism for his wife, the only girl he ever kissed.

I, on the other hand, would not convert. I see this as a subjugation thing and I'm dead set against stuff like that.

King Edward the V111 of England abducted his thrown to marry a " common girl" . I think that said a lot about the power of love.

I could posit another question and that is... would you become an atheist for love?

    Excellent thinking and excellent question!

I agree with the point made by 3rdgen, that love is a two-way street, a kind of beautiful compromise.

If two people genuinely love each other, their background, beliefs or status shouldn't matter.
