Of course the r/f can't help themselves from a little GB worship - the applause for herd was a good 3-4 times longer than for any previous speaker.

One Eyed Joe - Thank you for posting this info so quickly! I love it when my family comes back from a meeting like this and starts to tell me what happened and I can finish their story. It helps give credibitliy to other things I tell them.

Haha glad to help. Its the only way to keep my sanity at these damn cult meetings.
Currently an GB helper is going on about how we need to shut out the noise (anything that conflicts with the cult's doctrine) of this world, and ensuring that jah will protect us from tribulation "as a group"
now he's spinning some stats to look like wondrous expansion

Hey One-eyed- How is the audience reacting to all this? Are they excited about sitting together watching TV?
-
OneEyedJoe
PS 137:6 being spun to say we need to put the cult above any hobbies or anything else that makes us happy.

Audience is laughing at the stupid jokes and applauding the speakers who aren't even present. Lapping it up, I believe is the phrase.

Remember - protection for the group but not for the individual. There are countless collateral dead from the concentration camps in Germany whose death is testamant to this fact.
Also, when I'm involved in a hobby, it makes me thankful to be alive and most appreciative of a wonderful creator who allowed me to exist and enjoy myself. Counter that to when I'm getting doors slammed in my face and I have to take my pills to keep from feeling suicidal.

OEJoe....THANK YOU for keeping us posted!
I can't believe they haven't got to any pivotal points yet.
Well, but of course more begging for money......money...money.....

He didn't come out and say it but the phrasing he used when talking about ps 137:6 seemed designed to first get parents to think about their kids ( their "principal cause for rejoicing") then they say - the cult is more important than that.

Oh here's a gem : people can love things - they say I love my car (gave several such examples) but things cannot say "I love you too" But you know who can? You guessed it - jah!
I must be hard of hearing - I never heard him say anything.
