    (3) move to southern oregon...

That's where I live. I want to move out of southern oregon to Maui. But for now, it's on hold. I guess that is my remaining goal.

I also want to wish you the best of luck.

One thing a JW has to have is a goal. A goal for getting to the meetings, a goal for answering at the meetings, a goal to pay attention at the meetings.....a goal to go out in field service, a goal to talk at the doors, a goal to place literature.....

Would NOT call the above Goals--would prefer the description--brainwashed, pre-programmed, ignoramous! Those aren't goals, they're robotics...IMO.

    Edited to include IMO.

No goals, just week to week survival. It was a transition period from, as butal well described, wt programmed living to taking responsibility/initiative for myself. I also grew up w cildhood mental/emotional/physical abuse before and during my wt spiritual abuse. I had really, nothing to regain. It had to be built from scratch. It may have gone faster w the help of therapy. I may get into some therapy soon.

    ditto Perry.

    My goals:

    1. breathe, survive, continue beating the emotional odds against me

    2. find decent employment

    3. divorce hubby and move on already

    4. return to school for psychology or education degrees and work with youths

    5. move to a rural enough area that I could have some space to run and more animals

    6. hopefully have a healthy relationship with lucky gentleman

    7. continue being a good mom to my girls and grandma to any grandchildren I may have

    8. to have made a difference by the time I die

    Hello Minimus,

Do YOU have goals? I'm so glad you brought this up, as I love to set goals and will use some time this week to dust 'em off! I do have a couple of projects and goals going right now and have made progress on them. But they're kinda personal, so I'm not sharing them. Good thread!

    Pat
