Good thread IW.

I think those of us who have suffered so much from shunning, is in fact because of the people we leave behind.

The majority of jw's are good. well intentioned folk. They want so deperately to please God, to follow his direction. Certainly no one can fault them for the effort.

What is so sad about it is that because of this very desire, they fall easy victims to the mind numbing indoctrination of the WTBS. The very writer's of the mags, also attending meetings. field service, etc. So they condition each other for enslavement of the mind.

I remember my mother and father when talking about the Judges idiotic tantrums, and repeated down through the year's, whenever some goof ball CO or DO would make an ass of themselves, thier standard retort was "Respect the position not the man".

Unfortunately I would now modify that statement 'Respect the person not the organization'. I feel no compunction to alter one word of condemnation against the ORG, but tread very carefuly when it comes to individual jws.

I actually think they are victims too. They all are, even the elders and GB. Does that excuse their behavior? NO! But it does explain it.

I carried around a lot of anger at all of them for so long. Now if one called at my door I would invite them in, ask them some questions, and then let them know that there are resources for them. If they refused my help, okay. But I might be able to plant one more seed of doubt just as others planted that seed of doubt in me many years ago. I don't harbor any animosity for them any more. They can be aggravating, but they truly are an object of pity.

Correct. Now do you know how the JW religion defines "righteous?" Did you know the JW religion has specifically stated that 99.99% of the world will be destroyed by their Jehovah? Have you done the math and figured out that they mean ONLY Jehovah's Witnesses will be saved and even then, only faithful/loyal/cultist Jehovah's Witnesses will be saved?

Besides, we've already met in the "real world," or at least we've actually spoken to each other. That's about the best we could do with a whole continent between us. I'm as real in person as I am on this board, and just as passionate.

JWs follow a Nazi God. I stand by that statement. Their Nazi God will supposedly destroy anyone who disagrees with them. That is "Nazi" by any definition. The JW leaders are Nazis who've invented this Nazi God. They and their imginary God are pefect partners who can direct and enforce fear in all who challenge them.

These are very dangerous people. Hitler was only interested in conquest of the world. Dub leaders are interested in the conquest of the entire universe, save their God. The only difference between them and Hitler is that Hitler had smaller goals and wanted less people murdered to accomplish them.

Strangely enough, the meaning of "righteous" is virtually the opposite of jwism. The righteous act 'rightly' as they marginalise their own fate.

I think 'nazi idol' sounds better.

As for "buying the farm" - the beef is that there is no farm - only pictures for getting more down payments.

Yes the pot is calling the kettle black - the truth just won't be contained - and the kettle's been spouting off about being white.

I have to agree with Farkel - their god is a "nazi" god.....how many accounts in the bible did God purposefully destroy thousands of individuals of one particular nationality, all in the name of "true religion". How many innocent men, women & children did he allow to be killed, sacrificed etc. etc. all with the soul purpose of "making an example" for his followers?

JW's say their God is a God of love, who only destroys the unrighteous & the sinful......The entire bible has story after story of him doing something quite opposite.

Great song! Listening to "Lola" right now, you know: "L-O-L-A", "girls will boys, and boys will be girls, it's a mixed up...... world except for Lola".

I love that song for some reason, maybe it's because it crosses old boundaries in a kind of celebratory little kid "in your face" fashion. Damn good song! Would like to hear it blaring in the Bethel factory one day. Who knows! Maybe one day! LOL (life is just too much fun these days)

I agree with you fully - the God taught by Jehovah's Witnesses is at heart a Nazi.

He will kill all judged unrighteous.

The only way to be judged righteous in God's eyesight is to be one of His followers.

All of His followers are Jehovah's Witnesses.

However, people who are mentally handicapped or mentally ill might be saved (because they can't make a choice) along with Jehovah's Witnesses. Lol, doesn't say much for the company JW's keep, eh?

Yeah, sometimes the quips go overboard - agreed. But many times, we're laughing at ourselves......like looking at pictures in an old photo album and saying "Gurlllllllll, what WERE you thinking when you had that beehive?"
