Ok, thanks Danny. I'll go have a look.

Maybe I'm thicker than I look, but I fail to see how the letter would hurt SL. The negative comments are all conjecture and naysaying IMHO.

    POSSIBLE BIG NEWS!

I was just going through some of Bill Bowen's Threads from last year, and I found an extremely interesting Thread I think you will all want to see:

    http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.aspx?id=4734&site=3&page=1

This Thread was started by Bill on April 25th 2001.

    Notice what Bill says:

    1. Ted Jaracz
    2. Daniel Sydlik
    3. Fred Franz
    4. Ewart Chitty
    5. Leo Greenlees

These men all have something in common, can you guess what it is?

    Interesting, eh?

I wasn't the only one that noticed that Simon didn't ask the right question. He should have asked, "have I done damage by systematically maligning or alienated near everybody who contributed substantially to the struggle against the WT?" No, he didn't ask the correct question if it was in reaction to the quote you have provided. Even Eman noticed Simon conveniently forgot to ask the right question. Bill Bowen isn't the beginning or the whole of the Silent Lambs cause . Simon, Bill Bowen and many others have forgotten how it was others that began this movement and it is about the Lambs and not personal glory. _________________

How revealing these words are. Imbue is coming to the defense of, and supporting the one she worships in an attempt to enlighten all those who may be unaware of where the credit really belongs.

Bill Bowen isn't the beginning or the whole of the Silent Lambs cause

it was others that began this movement

And yet in the very same paragraph manages to remember whom the movement is supposed to really be about:

    Yeh, Oh BTW

and it is about the Lambs and not personal glory

Then why pray tell is there a problem??????

Whose been constantly attacking who all this time anyway while complaining about who is getting the glory ????

    Teejay:

I twice put the query to jan. He did not, would not... most likely COULD not, provide a reasonable answer to support his silly allegation.

I suspect it MIGHT BE because any explanation could be incriminating?

    Whoops there it is

The only way I could see Simon the Pieman harming Silent Lambs is by his allowing people to criticize Bill Bowen on his website. I gather theres a number of people here arent too sympathetic to Bill personally. Perhaps Simon should declare that only praise of Bill and his movement should be posted here.

There you go Simon! Someone posted something not ENTIRELY supportive of your stance.

Good point Refiners! Simon has definitely been rather hard onthose who criticize child-abuse victims. I think it's proper becasue these ppl can be quite fragile. However, the issue should not be put on a pedestal where anyone involved would be above scrutiny. Yet, undue or harsh criticism certainly wouldn't allow this site to be the kind that Simon says he wants it to be. It's a delicate balance that has to be maintained as far as this issue is concerned. It will be a tough feat to accomplish.

    summery

    original question:

Am I damaging the silentlambs cause?

    The answer:

Bill Bowen isn't the beginning or the whole of the Silent Lambs cause

So if supporting Bill, thus taking the spotlight off of the one that should be getting the credit (according to some), is damaging the cause then I guess the answer would be yes.

But, if supporting Bill in an effort to help bring the WT policies out into the public eye showing how they cause harm to those who have been victimized by others is damaging the cause, then the answer would be no.

...taking the spotlight off of the one that should be getting the credit...

pardon me if im stupid, but who is this "one" that "some" say should be getting "credit"? A confused mind wants to know.
