Simon - no worries hon. If you were doing something wrong - you'd hear it from the masses here. To ditto another poster - listen to Silentlambs. If you were doing harm to them, they'd let you know. So relax.
Oh... great Canadian there... eh? I hope to meet you and Ang when you come to Canada. I'll have you and your crew there over for an Atlantic Canadian experience
Hugs, and kudos for all that you do,

ok, just to sign in and say, something which I'm sure is right and true, silent lambs is not the ONLY ex-witness topic, and I certainly am more concerned with the cult issues and the blood issues. But if it wan't for this site, I would not be aware of silent lambs or able to support it.

Simon, Thanks to you and this site, I learned about the Silent Lamb cause. As a victim of child molestation at the hands of a Jw, I can say you and all the great people on this site have really helped me.

And there you have it. No other "opinion" should matter. To anyone.
Peace to you!

Hi Simon ((((hugs to you and your wife for a fantastic job here))))
Personally, I have been unaware that anything was being said about how you have handled this site in regards to the SL issues. I would think that anyone who has made disparaging remarks should be totally disregarded.
In my opinion, SilentLambs has their own site and following. They are on a mission and have an objective. They have a large group of supporters. We have all done what we could. However, there are many other issues and causes that are just as important. The structure of the WTBTS is very complicated and complex, and so are the problems that come out of it.
This site that you have established here, gives a good representation of how a wide range of people are moving forward. Although I support the cause of the SilentLambs, and I agree that it is a very serious issue, I don't wish to lose sight of the whole picture. Abuse is only one of the ways that the WTBTS has damaged people.
Just for the sake of point in case. If we aren't able to be of help to those who ask, then we might be dealing with future potential suicide victims, alcoholics, drug addicts, physical abusers, mentally imbalanced, social outcasts, thieves, murderers, and on and on. I mean, there is so much damage and destruction that has come out of the borg.
I believe we all want to show a positive, progressive, happy connection......or at least, that's the way I see it here on your forum. We are "out" or "getting out", now we need to learn how to live "now" in this world, and be as normal and fulfilled in our lives as we can. That has been my biggest battle over the years. We've all been hurt and now we need to find ways to help each other get better.
This site is a good place, thanks to you, Simon.I don't care what anyone else says

Hmm. I did get involved in a battle with Jan H recently, although we did decide between us to back away and accept that we viewed things from different perspectives.
He did say this, however, which I didn't give much attention to, assuming that it was a just another insult. BTW, we did insult each other quite a lot, so I assumed it was just one of those nasties that angry people hurl at one another:
Maybe he just said it in the heat of the moment, why don't we ask him, I believe he can still post here if he wants to."I think Simon has gotten more breaks than anyone else would, in face if his dispicable behaviour. He is fertilizing a cult of mediocrity on his own forum where he's systematically maligned or alienated near everybody who contributed substantially to the year-long struggle against the WTS. The damage he's done to the SilentLambs cause, for one, is irrepairable. All for his sudden about-face and decision to root out anything who might "stumble" his own dub family members or whoever he wants to please today. "
BTW, can't see Simon behaving "despicably", he's way too normal.

E'Man,
I would hope that Jan has thought the better of this rather radical comment. As you say, it was uttered in the thick of combat at which moments most of us gird up our loins and charge with little thought for the consequences.
I still cannot figure out why we XJW's are so quick to break out the verbal Kalashnikov's and so slow to smoke the pipe of peace. Perhaps it is an inheritance from the attitude that as JW's were automatically right by default about *everything* and that the rest of the world was just as automatically wrong.
