I know what you mean Blondie. When I was little (pre JW), my Oma used to send pfeffernusse from Germany at Christmas time. That was in addition to Lebkuchen hearts and stollen and Linzer cookies. All her presents came with little bird decorations and soft plastic mushrooms - the ones with the red caps with white spots on them. I think mushrooms were a symbol of good luck or something to Germans. LOL
