I am not to worried about what is on my tombstone, or how I will be remembered (although it would be nice to have people think kindly of me or to have made a difference in someone's life) I just want to live the best life I have now.

Hmmmmmmm I dont know what kind of inscription I would want. Something in Latin perhaps.
But I do know what I want on it image wise. Well first, it needs to be out of granite. Marble is nice but it erodes to fast. Well, as far as the images, the best ones I have seen where in Boston in the old cemetaries from the 1600s and 1700s. The had full blown scenes of the Grim Reaper and the Book of LIfe, Scales, the soul, etc...etc....
Im thinking a Full Blown scene of the Grim Reaper and an Angel arguing over my soul. Behind the Grim Reaper would be a stair way down..... and behing the Angel a stairway up. I would be in the Middle of them and God would be sitting behind us as Judge (and exicutioner). Morbid with religious overtones.
If I had a crypt, I could have all kinds of cool things on it!!!

I think your heart can only take so many heartbreaks, then its just ready to stop.

Joel sounds to me like you need to step back and re-think things. Personally I have tried to make it a policy to stay away from people or things that make me feel bad about myself. I don't have the time or patience anymore for them. So everytime I get in a funk I look at what is going on in my life, what is making me feel this way and then I try to change it...course sometimes you just have to deal with it, but it helps to understand why you are feeling the way you are...and then again sometimes you just need chocolate!
I don't know your circumstances but I do hope you can get help for the depression you are obviously feeling.....you have my email, feel free to drop me a line of you want to chat

Last yr, when i had a girlfriend for a while, i discovered this about myself. No more girlfriends for me. However, from what you said before about your new circle of friends, i'm surprised that you are like this.

A good friend of mine, who is a public speaker, and often does motivational speaking, says he want this on his tombstone:
"He made a difference"
That sounded good to me. I personally don't want that kind of a grave. Too expensive, so will ask to be cremated and my ashes put with my cousin Sharon's, at the campground we went to nearly every year from childhood.

Neither one of them really knows me very well.
I've heard it said that the greatest love of all is self love. I tend to agree w that, now. The love of god first doctrine is a load of crap. I have been working on self love, extending it to all parts of me. I would suggest self love as an area for you to check out, joel.
