I love wrapping pressies. The gift-bag is an easy option, and usually much cheaper than buying paper and ribbon and bows and stuff. A little bit of tissue paper to pad it out and voila! A perfect present.
skip the wrapping and get those nice decorated shopping bags. You won't feel like you suck anymore when you start using them. Well, um, you know what I mean. *cough, cough*
Xena...........thank you for saying that. I don't feel so bad now.
My packages are passable, but not great art of gift wrapping. I am learning to trim the paper a little better this year, and not have such a mess on the ends by there being too much paper.
The trouble I'm having now is the ribbon. I bought some that won't curl.............it looks awful. I may have to go spend $1 and buy another roll of guaranteed curling ribbon.
I get stuck, too - that sellotape was never meant for men's intellect. We dont' know how to find the start, and then it goes round and round, and before you know it we're just one sticky mess.
Suck / stuck, whatever - I'm still no good at wrapping presents, either. If it doesn't fit in an envelope, I'm toast.
I don't suck......at gift wrapping. I love to wrap gifts and make prezzies beautiful, I have been acused of the wrapping being better than what's inside.
As with most things one may suck at....practice makes perfect! I say practice, practice, practice!
I had to buy an extra roll of paper because I wasted so much trying to wrap one present. It was awful and not the recommended way to wrap I am sure, however it didn't turn out half bad...just kinda lumpy on one end, so I stuck ribbions on it, and woo hoo!...Still wasted LOTS of paper tho.
Blame the JW's...lol...if we had been allowed to celebrate x-mas and birthdays we'd all be so much better at this! HA!
