Other things notwithstanding HS, can I ask is it still your view (as per post nnumber 1) that the governing body really believe what they teach?
This is my own view, and it confuses me that so many here seem to believe otherwise.

So many of the half-baked, semi-analysed, philosophically inept posts that clutter even serious threads would not have been posted in the past because posters knew that they would be adroitely challenged by those who knew better. So we all thought much more carefullly about what we posted, read other posts VERY carefully before responding to them and in this way the intellectual tone of the Board was elevated.
Those who were loathe to join threads as they were unsure of their viewpoints tended to remain in reading mode until they felt confident enough to make a defense of their views. These days people seem to just doodle and post whatever comes into their heads on a matter with little thought as to whether what they have posted even makes any sense.
So, is your annoyance more that rubbish philosophical posts are made, or that they are not challenged?
Seems to me that most boards migrate and change over time. I think it's not merely the dynamics of the board, but the overall dynamics of the exjw scene that are changing. I think posting on exjw boards has become more mainstream in the jw community, and not everyone is a dedicated apostate with a vendetta. Of course, I've never gotten into the doctrinal/philosophical issues here much.

Yes, I stand by this and it is quite obviously true.
Those that feel that 'money' is all important to the GB do not understand that the greed of conquest is the most dangerous drug of all. They are all hooked on an ideology that makes them feel as if they are more than withered little men in tailor-made suits.
I know for a fact that Theo Jaracz for example, turns away any private donations made to him, and if unable to do so at the time will put everything given to him in the contribution box. Why should money mean anything to him when he believes that when Jehovah belches, he quivers in sympathy?

John,

For the sake of the crdibility of the Board where thousands of lurkers are concerned, both.

Yes, Boards do change. My argument is that they do not always change for the better, and that the chat facility would be useful in clearing a lot of utter crap from the board topics page.
If you go back a few years on this Board you will find that 'apostate agendas' not always the topic of the hour. Many that had nothing to do with the WTS were free-flowing and healthy. Politics, science, history, sociology, art, etc. etc In a way we all grew up with one another and learned from one another.
A few days ago someone started a thread, 'How Do You Like To Be Kissed?', or something like that. Farkel posted a reply, 'You started a thread about this?'. He too was on this Board from its inception and knows what I am trying to explain.
It puzzles me where all the needy people have come from. Post cult neediness is taken care of with education, which frees us from the emotional fetters of our past. Perhaps this too reflects a changing pattern in posters. Talk before you read.

Wow, cool thread. Must peruse when more time. For now I'll just add that I concur with the generalization that the GB actually believe their own crap above all others'.

Hs I have few Questions for you. You can choose to ignore me as you did on another post.
I think your ego is out of control, and I don't need to copy and paste your comments here. You know what they are.
I would like to know what happened to the wife that decided over long distance phone calls that you no longer needed to post on this forum?
Since you decided to post again, 'Why has she never posted here"?
Is she not allowed to voice her opinion over yours? Is she too frightened or perhaps bullied?
Most women in this day and age speak there mind.....why has your wife not?
No need to get nasty..

Restrangled, you are out of control. You might as well ask why Irreverent posts so little while Blondie posts so much. You do not know anything about Hillary-Step's personal life (most deliberately).
