And the question shouldn't be "can Ukraine win", it should be "why do we give a shit?". Seriously, why do we care?

Afghanistan- Biden failed freedom blah blah blah.

Ukraine- 15 million people displaced by actual people waving hammers and sickles saying they don't deserve a homeland.

I am currently helping some Ukrainian refuges in Canada right now Simon.

    Wow.

    No words.

The Ukrainian Nazi excuse is so lame.

Russia has a much bigger problem with Ultranationlism and Xenophobic hate groups. I have Russian friends. It is a huge problem. They can't even play football in half of Europe because of it. You can't be gay, or a person of colour in certain parts of the country. I asked them how a country that lost 20 million to actual Nazis in WW2 can have the largest number of Neo Nazi skinheads on earth.

Russia also has a huge problem with fetal alcohol syndrome. That is the only excuse they could come up with.

We are a stupid country full of stupid people.

The defeat will be unbearably humiliating to Russia so Ukraine can’t win as Russia sees it.

Also, having such powerful ( backed ) adversary at your border will weaken Russia with it’s nukes juxtaposition a Russian Ukraine with the ports to the Black Sea and buffer between Nato countries and the enlivening feeling of victory will strengthen Russia’s government.

I have a religious viewpoint on all of this but looking at the world as a chessboard without destroying it, Russia’s government has become less communist in the modern world and other communist countries too. Communist countries are changing towards a capitalist socialist democracy if the world economy holds up. Communism will wither away or collapse suddenly in one country after another. If Ukraine wins, it is a big step towards waning communism in Russia . The Russian government’s strenuous attempts to re-liven old ways cannot reasonably succeed because the world and the Russian people don’t want it—seems.

US media and politicians are celebrating the Ukrainian offensive in the region north of Kharkiv.

What they fail to mention is the fact the Ukrainian assault is being spearheaded by the neo-Nazi Azov Regiment.

    **Even with their help...NO

And yet "we" don't seem to have any problem dealing with countries that have worse human-rights records

How long has Saudi Arabia been bombing Yemen and are still OK to do business with?

And if Russia is so bad, why did Europe decide to make themselves dependent on them for their critical energy needs? Seem like an idiotic move, no?

The only question that matters is whether you want to perpetuate these things. If you do, then support the war. Personally, I think it's sick and the only truly moral stance is to stop these things happening. They can only do it with the support of useful idiots.

If you think the war is 100% the choice of Putin you probably believed that the Iraq war was all about WoMDs.

was not Iraq ultimately to drive them personally off the map as agressors, for having invaded the little rich neighbour Kuwait?

An excuse perhaps but worked with gdansk, pearl harbor, the tonkin golf.

Does not the new putin doctrine reflect the Monroe guaranties of a different era and area?

"was not Iraq ultimately to drive them personally off the map as agressors, for having invaded the little rich neighbour Kuwait?"

The Gulf War in 1991 was to push them out of Kuwait.

The invasion of 2003 was about:

1.)Regime Change, and the Iraqis will welcome it and become a peaceful democracy

2.) wanting someone to punch after 9/11

3.) They have WMD's and are a threat to the world (they didn't BTW)

4.) setting up a pro american government to increase our presence in the Middle East

5.) Saddam allegedly looked into killing Bush's dad after Iraq was defeated in 1991

6.) The George W. administration had alot of carryovers from his fathers administration. His dad thought anything beyond liberating Kuwait was a bad idea but some others wanted to invade Iraq in 1991 and 9/11 gave them an excuse to 'finish the job'.

I think it's possible that some may have really believed #1 was possible. The idea that since it worked for Germany and Japan after WW2, it will work anywhere. But that's just if i'm feeling very generous.

    Take your pick

"An excuse perhaps but worked with gdansk, pearl harbor, the tonkin golf."

Are you really including Pearl Harbor in with these other two? Really, dude? I assume by Gdansk you're referring to the Polish corridor. ?

Oh my goodness, you people are like reading WTS literature. Irrelevant nonsense mixed in with completely missing the point.

The world surrendered Crimea hoping Putin would go away. Where have I read that story before ? Those poor Russians forced to live in such a tiny winy little country. Oh boy, this place is a real history class.

If Ukraine isn't worth fighting for, what is the next red line.

    Georgia

    The Baltic States

    The Central Asian republics

    Poland

    Alaska

Seriously. The real conservative movement in the US is dead. All that is left are these cowardly libertarian traitors.
