My opinion is that the impeachment wont stand once it goes through the Senate and the Democrats will win the next election by a small margin in 2020.

After that election Trump's political career will be over and he'll return to his private business activities.

It could be conceivable to suggest that his time in office will actually bolster his businesses to which he is involved over the years, people still like achievers.

If the House doesn't complete it's role, has the President truly been impeached?

No. Articles of impeachment have been drawn up, until they are sent over to the Senate he has not. The house of reprehensibles makes up the charges (articles of impeachment) Then the Senate votes either to impeach him or not to. The lying media has created a fake narrative that he has already been impeached. Of course 99% of people these days would fail even the most basic of grade school level civics classes.

You guys refuse to differentiate between the two processes. Trump has been impeached such is the process the house is empowered to do. He has not been convicted and removed from office ( that is the Senate's purview under the constitution.) Even if the Senate decides not to convict and remove him, He has been impeached. He most likely will not be convicted by the senate. He will however be historically known as one of the the 3 U.S. Presidents to be impeached.( Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton being the only other 2) Please note though they where impeached neither was removed from office.

    XD

fed up : the Senate does not have the power to vote for impeachment only to convict of high crimes and misdemeanors.

Says a person that is completely wrong about the process.

Jesus fucking Christ. Read the goddamned US Constitution. It's not that long or hard to understand:

    1. US Constitution: Article I, Section 2, Clause 5 - Impeachment: "The House of Representatives ... shall have the sole Power of Impeachment."

    YES: Trump has been impeached.

NO: He has not be tried by the Senate so we don't know yet if he'll be acquitted or convicted (HINT: Mitch McConnell has already publicly stated that there won't be a fair trial. So there's that.)

Deal with it. And please, for chrissakes, stop saying stupid shit that's just plain wrong. It doesn't help!

YES, President Trump has been impeached, i.e., charged and the SENATE will decide if he is INNOCENT or not. The house is supposed to lay out the facts but they seem to be so weak - imagine that!

LOTS of experts onboard here -- few constitutional lawyers.

OK, here is a democrat and constitutional expert who says the process isn't complete until the House sends the articles of Impeachment to the senate.

    The impeachment clause says this...

Article I, Section 2 says that the House ‘shall have the sole power of impeachment.’ It says nothing about a requirement of referral to complete that act

In the past, a young person may say "I want to be the President when I grow up." An office to look up to and aspire to be.

Those days are gone. Privately, even Republicans would not want their children to grow up to be anything like him.

That's just the way it is.
