When I mentioned flags in the previous post, I was refering to altered flags like the one TH posted, which people found offensive. I should have made the point clearer. I apologise and will edit the post.

oh okay, gotcha.....actually i shouldve probably realized thats what you meant, but sometimes we dont always stop to think about meanings before jumping to conclusions. i am guilty of this many times over.

I just posted on this thread... and didn't put the Yellow Ribbon like i suggested I would do... right after I posted it... I REALLY FELT just like the JW days... where you couldn't discuss, show or say what you thought because you then started to fear what the Elders or the "higher powers" could say or do to you... It's a shame that we have come to this point... again.

Oh for goodness sake that is rediculous and insulting.

You will notice that Simon had not edited the ribbons etc out of any posts or outright banned them. We have spent the afternoon trying to show the reasoning behind the polite request that they are not posted . How many elders explain their reasoning and have good reasons for things?
