    THE SOCIETY
as in "We'll have to wait and see what 'The Society' says." Quite mob sounding if ya aks me.

    THE BROTHERS
as in "The brothers KNOW what is going to happen."

Do they still say "widen out" in your association with others in the Hall? That one always got me.

There was a KM a few years ago that was hilarious. It acually said something to the effect that "we must make every effort to assure that deserving ones receive Jehovah's undeserved kindness".

The "Friends".....*gag* .....in plain English means "all those who desert you when you really need help"

    Aunthill (of the I-haven't-figured-out-how-to-insert-the-smiley/frowny/barfing-faces-yet class)

    "Agape love,"

The little label that so many "zealous" Christians use to sign their letters with.

What is wrong with just plain Love!!

Funny-I never really noticed that when I was in. It just became irritatingly obvious to me when I received a letter from a JW friend who has no idea that I quit.

cheeses always liked the phrase "brother so-and-so is in good standing".

Alright, let's sing together....Oh yes cheeses loves me, the bible tells me so......

    "Stumble" as a transitive verb.

Which is to say: "I stumbled [him/her/someone]" rather than the more common usage: "I stumbled"

It's not incorrect or anything, most dictionaries list it. But I've never heard ANYONE use it that way outside the JW's.

    Normal people usually say "trip"

    Duncan.

This old system of things (as opposed to the new one which isn't here yet)

"Move around in the kingdom hall" (sit in Brother "I always sit here"s chair and piss him off)

Showing loving kindness toward all the brotherhood of men.

Let me exhort you Brothers to greater effort in this time of the end!

Drifting Away... Sitting on the fence... Get togethers... wholesome association... he is a marked brother... necking and petting - why can't they say making out and feeling up.
