I guess that the reasoning here is that you are to treat your wife as yourself, and, that would mean that she's being treeated properlly..... however, that does not usually happen in the religion....

In a perfect world, it COULD work... it's not a perfect world, though, and people usually treat their wives like crap. Wait on god, they say.. well, emotional abuse is not included in this councel...... so, what then?

I lost all respect for the organization the night we had a brother over. An elder, (he used Chris and I as a study to get reinstated as an elder) *so nice to be used*

He talked about a brother that was working at a home of a sister both married. She came stairs naked (according to the brother) he of course had to boink her over and over. While i was an active JW, i felt protected and special as a woman. I was glad i was not expected to do anything except "woman" things . but really, how many single sisters there are? They function as both father and mother.

I know this is not a poplular viewpoint, but i honestly felt happier when i did not have to work and could just be a "good wife". It was very satisfying. This does not mean i think woman are not equals, thery are. What is it the bible calls it"assigning them honor as a woman of God" or something like that. That does not include the abuse that some jw and other fundy religions dish out. If woman is truly treated as God created her to be, is it really such a bad role? If she is given honor and respected for her role inthe family-why is that so bad?

Women used to have a lower rate of heart attacks, now we are on equal footing with men.

My brains are not mush, but i loved raising my kids and doing my part in the home.

I have always hated the way the WT is against woman.When you are a single parent (woman) you are all in one, mom,dad,carpenter and so on you work hard go to school meetings sit by the sickbed of your childeren take care of your old parents + the dub thing,you know, meetings FS, assemblies...but get no respect.

When a man is alone with a child,the dubs(sisters!!) respect the poor soul,all alone with a child or two, we must help him with everything, -and in no time he´s remarried.This strong man.

Haven´t you ever seen a sister becoming very ill and the single sisters hang around just to grab the man as soon as she is gone?I have seen it twice in my old cong.One time the poor woman had only been dead in 3 months before he remarried-it was hard on his kids.(and they were in their 70 s!)

When a woman is alone,you are only usefull for the work others "have no time" to do,cleaning the hall,helping the oldies,FS and do not forget: donations.But they do not like you to speak your mind.Well,like Bliss (hallo Bliss) I did it anyhow,they told me it would be hard for me to find a loving brother because I was to outspoken.Ha! If I had to live as the wife of one of those braindead dubs I would start dating out of my species!

How in the name of God can they keep women down the way they do?
