SheilaM, my avatar is of a male pussy so its ok.. lol

Nilfun I agree, actually I agree with everyone here to a degree.

"If we have more loving, caring men in America," he said, "that wouldn't be an illness. That would be a solution to many of our problems

This seems to imply that "more loving caring men in America" can only be produced by letting boys play with "girl" toys..huh. The article smacks of gender straighjacket its self.

Niflun: True Anthony has always been so gentle but for some reason he could cry and show emotion and everyone thought it was cool. His eighth grade breakfast his last choir performance he burst into tears his friends looked at him and then we had an entire choir boo hoooin. IT was as if Anthony gave them permission to show their feelings.

He cried getting on the plane to San Diego. I know being a Marine will make him grow up but it will never change that gentle nature of his. I am proud to have a husband and a son that cry and laugh and all the emotions that so many man don't allow themselfves

Yeah..I can see what you are saying...can boys grow up to be loving and caring without playing with "girl" stuff?

    I believe that they can.

One childhood experience I remember was how a male relative was called a "pussy" because he liked to play with dolls and was very gentle. It hurt him so much, he would be driven to tears by the merciless teasing. I became very protective of him (I guess I still am).

This is my other 2 pence worth:

We ARE 2 different genders, so why cant we act and be treated differently to the female gender and still turn out OK? Truth is we CAN. Feminizing boys is an attempt of "some" women to over shadow the male species. The male species already has the ability to be gentle and mild, to provide care & love, to assume that we dont is in fact "stereo typical" from a womans perspective. The male species had these qualities without nail-varnish playing a cruicial part!

The husband playing the role of father and provider for his family was never wrong, it was manipulated to seem wrong by the femanine society. I agree that the idea of the "woman at the sink" was wrong too but that doesnt mean everything about the male role is wrong and needs the womans touch.

In the animal kingdom the male often plays the role of provider, is he a male chauvenist? is he influenced by the media? Does he need nail pink varnish?

    Lol

    Brummie,

I just read the quote and your commentary. I agree with you. That stuff is the biggest nonsense that was ever written - not yours; theirs. I will get back later to elaborate, but it is late, and I have to go to bed.

This reminds me of an article I saw in a rather extremist feminist publication called "Opzij" (Freely translated as "move aside")

This article quoted some "feminist" women complaining that the Dutch males where more and more becoming "Pussies".

And that they especially traveled to South Europe (Italy,Spain,...) to find some "Real" men.Note that this is coming from

"feminists" who supposedly hated so-called macho men,and are now fed up with the "new" man that they themselves

are responsible for in creating in the first place...

    What a load of Crap!

There are no REAl men or REAL women. We are individuals who like to do what we like to do.

FOR INstance.... I mow the lawn and fix the fences, my husband cooks tea and does the dishes. Does that make me a dike and him a wuss???? I dont think so, unless you are a judgemental labeler (oops I just made up a new label )

He likes going shopping and picking out clothes for me, he likes fabrics. Is he gay? NO. Is he Bi? No. The things we enjoy, like colour, texture, perfume, beautifull music dont identify our sexuality. Get over it people. My little boy has painted his nails several times, heck my husband has painted his once or twice (he's an artist). Anyway, if my boy wants to play with dolls, paint his nails, wear dresses, get a sex change or have loving relationships with other men when he grows up, who am I to judge him. I let him be what he wants to be.

Why do we need to control our loved ones so much? What are we scared of losing? By being so controlling we very often lose that very thing we are scared to lose.

By the way, some of my best friends are gay. LOL

Blackout *of the non judgemental class, or striving to be*
