    Teenyuck,

I can't take credit for breaking anything, it's old news. Unfortunately, your unwillingness to look at any of this info is the main reason it's not widely known in America.

Seen as you can't be bothered to research it yourself, an issue which you have dismissed but which has immense significance, i've posted something for you to read. Bush family funded Adolf Hitler
    13.05.2003 [14:40]

The Nazi phenomenon was no historical coincidence, and far less a philosophical whim made real by just one man. Nazism had its followers, many of them exceptionally wealthy, veritable alchemists of the financial world back then.

According to research carried out over the last few years, Wall Street bankers (amongst others) financed Hitler’s rise to power whilst making large profits at the same time. What is yet still more deplorable is the fact that relatives of the current U.S. president were amongst this group of individuals.

U.S. authors Webster G. Tarpley and Anton Cheitkin reveal in the recently published George Bush: The Unauthorized Biography that Prescott Bush (George W. Bush’s grandfather) and other directors of the Union Banking Company (UBC) were Nazi collaborators.

The book relates how in 1922 – when national socialism was emerging – railroad impresario W. Averell Harriman traveled to Berlin and interviewed the Thyssen family with a view to founding a German-U.S. bank. The Thyssens were already behind-the-scenes owners of several financial institutions that allowed them to transfer their money from Germany to the Netherlands and from there onto the United States.

The banks in question were the August Thyssen Bank whose headquarters were located in Berlin; the Bank voor Handel (Netherlands) and the Union Banking Corporation (New York). At the beginning of the 1920s, one of the members of this family, Fritz Thyssen – author of I Paid Hitler – contributed some $25,000 USD to the recently formed German National Socialist Workers’ Party, becoming the prime and most important financier of the Fuhrer in his ascent to power.

According to the book’s authors, Thyssen was fascinated by Hitler, citing his talent as a public speaker and his ability to lead the masses. However, what impressed him most was the order that prevailed at his rallies and the almost military discipline of his followers.

And so, in 1931 Thyssen joined the Nazi party, becoming one of the most powerful members of the Nazi war machine.

At that time, the magnate presided over the German Steel Trust, a steel industry consortium founded by Clarence Dillon, one of Wall Street’s most influential men. One of Dillon’s most trustworthy collaborators was Samuel Bush: Prescott’s father, George Senior’s grandfather and great-grandfather of the current U.S. president George W. Bush.

In 1923, Harriman and the Thyssens decided to set up a bank and appointed George Herbert Walker – Prescott’s father-in-law – as president. Later, in 1926, they established the Union Banking Corporation (UBC) with Prescott Bush at the helm. That same year, he was also named vice president and partner at Brown Brothers Harriman. Both firms allowed the Thyssens to send money to the United States from Germany via the Netherlands.

U.S. economist Victor Thorn has noted that although a large number of other corporations aided the Nazis (such as Standard Oil and Rockefeller’s Chase Bank, as well as U.S. automobile manufacturers) Prescott Bush’s interests were much more profound and sinister.

Thorn adds that UBC became a secret channel to protect Nazi capital leaving Germany for the United States via the Netherlands. When the Nazis needed to retrieve their funds, Brown Brothers Harriman sent them directly to Germany.

In this way, UBC received money from the Netherlands and Brown Brothers Harriman sent it back. And who was on the executive of both of these companies? Prescott Bush himself, the Nazis’ first money launderer.

In their book, Tarpley and Cheitkin explain that in this way a significant part of the Bush family’s financial base is related to supporting and aiding Adolph Hitler. Therefore, the current U.S. president, just like his father (former CIA director, vice president and president) reached the peak of the U.S. political hierarchy thanks to his great-grandfather and grandfather and generally his entire family, who financially aided and encouraged the Nazis.

Some time later, in October 1942, the U.S. authorities confiscated Nazi bank funds from the New York UBC, whose then president was Prescott. The firm was condemned as a financial and commercial collaborator with the enemy and all its assets were seized.

Later, the U.S. government also ordered the seizure of the assets of a further two leading financial agencies directed by Prescott through the accounts of the Harriman banking institution: the Holland-America Trading Corporation (a U.S.-Dutch commercial firm) and the Seamless Steel Equipment Corporation.

Then on November 11, 1942, an embargo was imposed on the Silesian-American Corporation – another firm headed by Bush and Walker – under the same Trading with the Enemy Act.

However, in 1951, the embargo was lifted and the enterprising businessman recovered some $1.5 million USD, earmarked for new investments largely to swell the Bush family’s patrimony.

To this should be added a resumé of files belonging to Dutch and U.S. information services confirming the direct links between Prescott Bush, the German Thyssen family and the blood money of a group of rich U.S. families from the Second World War.

Tarpley and Cheitkin affirm that the great financial crash of 1929-1931 affected the United States, Germany and Britain, weakening their respective governments. At the same time, Prescott Bush became even more diligent, still more desirous of doing everything that was necessary to safeguard his place in the world. It was during this crisis that some members of the Anglo-U.S wealthy class supported the installation of Hitler’s regime in Germany.

To sum up, the authors categorically state that the Bush family’s fortune arose as a result of its unconditional support for Adolph Hitler’s political project.

The UBC, under Prescott Bush’s direction and with the long-term cooperation of Fritz Thyssen’s German Steel Trust participated in the emergence, preparation and financing of the Nazi war machine through the manufacture of armored vehicles, fighter planes, guns and explosives.

The Bush family’s habit of dominating territories and wealth is nothing new. Their fascist genes were generated during the 1930s. Therefore defining the occupation of Afghanistan and Iraq and the threats to other countries as a continuance of blitzkreig offensives as fascist is no blunder. Neither is convening an anti-fascist front is a rhetorical exercise.

Charley in seriousness, if you are serious, about running for a political office you should. Even something smaller than mayor of a major city. It changes you big time. When I took on City Hall and then my county which over a year spread to be standing before the D O E of my State (our state) with their lawyers and all, it was so intimidating. They were up in the judges bench looking down on me. Later when I became a planning commissioner and I was up there I learned just how different things are. You are expected to know everything and please everyone. What happens is everyone hates you.

Get the experience of being a politician, it is worth while.

BTW, while I am out, I am going to go spend the $200.00 extra my husband got on his paycheck today...all a result of GWs tax cut. Thanks GW. I'll do my part to support the economy.
it's like a bloody religion isn't it? the cult of bush. dont forget to put your report in at the end of the month.

    the cult of bush

    CULT????????

Am I in the cult? I know it must be hard to imagine why with all the BS out there people still only look at things like their own personal paychecks as a gauge to their opinion of things. Don't they realize that there have not been WMD's found in Iraq? Sheesh such selfish people. Anyway, I am self employed so I don't get all the honey & drippings that the political wonders of the government spin to the sheep. I think that the only hope that the antibush people have is to start to focus on the issue of unemployment in America. That's the key for me & the 2004 election. Yes the EU has higher rates but why should any American worry about that. (We do not elect their leaders.) I know that the UK and other media's of Europe still think that if they hammer the "I hate Bush" propaganda that Americans will finally say they are sorry for doing things like refering to them as a "has been power" and "irrelevant." That we will say we are sorry for removing Saddam without the permission of their so called "society." But for now what can only be looked at as a brash teenage (of age) Country is not to sorry for dis'in "the man." WAhhooo!

    You will never get it.

Saying I am in the "cult of Bush" is really stupid. Read my statements.

The extra money on his check is a direct result of the tax cut implemented. However, Ohio is going to up the sales tax by 1%, so we are fucXed either way. You don't get it.

We pay 45% of our income in federal and state taxes. Then there are property taxes on our home (another 2%), I pay 5.5% sales tax on everything I purchase. Gas and liquor are separate....I cannot even calculate that.

Getting 2% back is not much. However, I was able to go purchase a few things today I was not going to. That helps our economy. Seems simple.

This hate of America is interesting. It started on this DB when the talk of going into Iraq started. There are some threads in December that are pretty down on Bush. Not much was typed by anyone, for any length of time, on Bush, before that.

He will be voted out of office if you are correct that the American public hates him. Why are you all so riled up about someone who has only 17 months left in office?

    yeru,

You are such a nut job.

coming from you thats almost a compliment!

I'm following no one "blindly" I follow orders because I know that's how the military works. I disagree with a lot of the orders I get, but I follow them, whether from my military or political leaders. For instance, here at Ft Jackson, security is screwed up. The folks running it have made some bone head mistakes that I can see through. I offer my opinion, then salute smartly and follow orders as to how I'm to conduct security.

and i am the nut job? LOL

you don't follow orders blindly....BUT you follow them! that you disagree doesn'T make it better! regardless of how disgusting the orders might be you follow! thats exactly the point!

Realist, you're too much of a cynic, and that blinds you. I'm glad I don't have to live in your world.

as i stated in the other thread:

i am not cynical i just have NO illusions about human nature and our leaders. and seeing this doesn't make me miserable. in fact its nice to know why things are the way the are (thats why i became a scientist by the way). you should give it a try once. perhaps you would like reality too.

and the freedoms we value so much would never have been won for us. Most of us think that at least occasionally the politicians have a bit more altruism than your cynicism would allow for.

BS! what freedoms are you defending that wouldn't exist without US intervention all around the world? did the europeans need the americans to bring them "freedom" in 1918? laughable!

altruism in the leading class of politicians? that is sweet! look at world history and start crying!

No one EXPECTS to get killed, but the folks coming into the Army know they may have to lay their ass on the line. They aren't blind to the fact that soldiering means killing, and getting killed during war, and that war is a real possibility.

well the same applies to getting into a car and driving on a highway! i know there is the slight possibility of getting killed. i drive anyway in order to get to work! WOW what a great hero i am!

i tell you something....driving in a high tech tank or flying a stealth bomber and destroying targets that don't even know you are coming is certainly not heroic but rather disgusting.

i have respect for soldiers who faught voluntarily for their ideals (even if they were misled) in vietnam or the world wars who actually put their lifes at risk with high probability...but i have no particular respect for the guys fighting against barefooted arabs!

Talks Collapse on U.S. Efforts to Open Europe to Biotech Food

    By DAVID LEONHARDT

WASHINGTON, June 19 — Talks between the United States and the European Union over opening up Europe to genetically modified foods broke down in Geneva today, the Bush administration announced, heightening trans-Atlantic tensions.

American officials said they would soon request that the World Trade Organization convene a panel to hear their case, in an effort to end a ban that farm groups say is depriving agricultural businesses of hundreds of millions of dollars a year.

The Bush administration called Europe's policy illegal, saying that scientific research had shown genetically altered crops to be safe. The European Union "denies choices to European consumers," (as if that would be his concern! democratic BS talk) Richard Mills, a spokesman for the United States trade representative, Robert Zoellick, said in a statement today.

European officials said the long-term effects of altered food remained uncertain. (total BS from a scientific standpoint) They said they were disappointed by the administration's publicizing of the dispute.

The food dispute is one of a handful of trade fights between the United States and Europe and comes as tensions linger over the war in Iraq, which many European countries opposed. Trade officials also continue to haggle over steel tariffs imposed by the Bush administration last year, farm subsidies on both sides of the Atlantic, and an American law that reduces taxes for companies with overseas operations, among other issues.

"There have never been more of these litigations than there are right now," Robert E. Lighthizer, a trade lawyer at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in Washington, said of the disputes. He said the relationship was "extremely contentious."

American and European officials met in Geneva today for a round of negotiations, known as a consultation, after the United States filed suit at the W.T.O. over the issue last month. Today's announcement means that the trade organization will soon begin selecting a panel of judges to hear the case, although a decision is likely to take months.

Genetically modified food — which can grow more quickly than traditional crops and can be resistant to insects — has caused scant controversy in the United States, where people eat it every day. Almost 40 percent of all corn planted in this country in genetically modified.

In Europe, however, the environmental movement is more powerful, and a series of food problems, including mad cow disease, have made people far more skeptical of assurances of safety from governments and businesses. Some food packages there bear the label "GM free," and the initials are well enough known to be used regularly in headlines in British newspapers.

The European Commission has permitted the use of some genetically modified foods, like soybeans, in the last decade, but has effectively placed a moratorium on most new products.

The Bush administration and agricultural businesses view the policy as simple protectionism because American companies, which dominate the biotechnology industry, would benefit most from lifting the ban. Without it, American companies would export about $300 million more in corn each year than they do now, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation.

Scientific research has generally shown that genetically modified foods do not cause health problems.

"Countries shouldn't be able to erect barriers for nonscientific reasons," Don Lipton, a spokesman for the farm federation, said. "That's a very important principle in international trade."

In a speech last month, President Bush escalated the dispute by saying that Europe's policy was undermining efforts to fight hunger in Africa. African nations, fearing their products would be shunned by Europe, are avoiding developing genetically modified food that might help feed the continent, he said. "European governments should join, not hinder, the great cause of ending hunger in Africa, " (increadibly hypocritical BS) he said in the speech.

European diplomats reacted angrily to Mr. Bush's comments, saying that their health concerns were serious (LOL! a plane and simple lie) and noting that European nations spend a greater part of their budget on foreign aid than the United States.

European officials have also said that they are surprised that the United States has highlighted the dispute recently. This summer, the European Parliament is scheduled to consider a measure that would establish strict labeling rules for genetically modified products, which could allow more of them to be sold.

Europe's resistance to modified crops received a political lift last week when a global treaty restricting them was approved. Although it is not clear what effect the treaty, known as the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, will have on the trade dispute, it is likely to make it easier for countries to restrict importing the crops, trade experts say.

The United States, worried about the treaty's impact on American exporters, agreed only reluctantly to support it when it was negotiated in 2000.

Announcing that the talks between Europe and the United States had broken down today, Mr. Mills, the trade representative's spokesman, said in his statement that he was "disappointed but not surprised."

He added, "We'll be moving forward with requesting a panel" to decide the case.

Willy Helin, a European Commission spokesman, said that European officials had explained their policy fully to the United States delegation today, but that they had expected the dispute to reach the next level.

"This is a first formal step," he said.

Argentine officials, who have joined the United States in filing the W.T.O. case, also attended today's talks, Mr. Helin said.

But other nations that have previously criticized Europe's position, including Egypt, did not, he said.

the world's govs are concerned about BUISNESS and nothing else!
